Munford, Evans, Paschall, Wright, Bowden & a couple of others? Surely we won't have to wait until NSD!!!!!

Im wondering if they already know one or more and they are staging them to build up excitement for NSD?

If you trust the kid (as you should) then why not play the drama card, particularly if your recruit can ignore some important hats on NSD? I am sure it is done regularly.

Curious about Lonnie Johnson. Thought I read where he would decide by Sunday or Monday.

Yeah, heard that too. Maybe UK has been on him long enough to make a difference.
Doubt it. It's arrogant lazy recruiters at power programs that can lay back and let the rising teams do all the work and swoop in and get whoever they want at the last minute. A reason there needs to be an early signing period, and the reason all the power programs are adamantly against one.

Looks like Urban Meyers missed out on 5* OT Trey Smith and Thayer Munford is now their main priority. Other sites are saying Munford wants to be a Buckeye but Ohio St hasn't offered YET.

OT and DT are two of the hardest positions to recruit. Not as many compared to skill positions and then you have teams like Alabama hoarding them

I believe that I am coming to the conclusion that I'm not cut out for this recruiting drama!!! I feel that I am investing too much emotionally & that it is not a healthy endeavor for me!!!!!

I agree the early signing for football is long overdue. It would not hurt anyone to have a late summer or early fall signing period and then another one after the season. If basketball can do it and they only bring in 4 or 5 recruits why can't football do it when they bring in 20-25. Looks like it would be more cost effective and cut down on money spent on recruiting.
