I remember when OP made a post complaining about friends who won't go to his parties after him and his wife make cute little RSVP invitation cards.
Cute little RSVP cards? I have no idea how you came up with that gem. IIRC, I was mainly complaining about the lack of common courtesy that seems the norm nowadays and used the example of someone who doesn't acknowledge an invitation to an event. There's this thing called evite and email that servers as an 'invitation'. I was taught to acknowledge an invitation because it's the polite thing to do.
Now, back to the original thread.....
I disagree that there is not an agenda being pushed. It's being aggressively pushed in our schools, our universities, major media outlets, etc. i would fight for gay's rights to be left alone but don't try to make me or anyone else celebrate. I, too, despise performers who inappropriately blather on about their beliefs. I bought a ticket to a rock concert, not a political fundraiser. At least be honest and advertise the event for what it is if that's how you're going to work. Bet ticket sales would be less if Springsteen said - hey, I'm coming to your town to sing a few songs and talk about issues I think are important. Just the wrong place and time, imo. I don't want to hear Ted Nugent discuss guns at his concert, either. On the other hand, I think he sucks *** so I wouldn't be there in the first place.
