Should have made strides this year. Our schedule is a bunch of teams that are not good. Problem is we are worse off than them.
Auburn, Vandy, Georgia were their for the taking. Begging to lose but nope. We look like a steaming pile of dung in all phases of the game. Head man on down to the kicker.

We need this Charlotte game bad and get a W to get this team believing again. Need to win in dominating fashion and not a EKU type of win.

When the other SEC powers are way down and we can take advantage of it...oh wait, that has happened in recent years and we still didn't win more than 2-3 league games tops.

And there you have it.... In spite of what many of you think ... It takes a roster full of RED SHIRT players ... 5th year seniors to freshman redshirting very few RS soph playing and little to no RS frosh playing ... Then you get a start at being competitive... Folks CMS is working the same plan that coach tressel used at tosu to bring them back to national prominence ... He had tons more to work and start with than did CMS ... 2 decent recruiting classes and what he could throw together in 45 days is a start but certainly not the end ... Look at high school programs they don't get goid overnight they get good when the feeder system gets good... Till some of you realize this is long term you won't be happy... So so Many things I need to add to this but time and space are prohibitive nit to mention I'd just be wasting my time and effort...

UK's path out of the cycle of fighting with Vandy to avoid being at the perpetual bottom is to find a very good coach. James Franklins aren't easy to find so paying big for an established "good" coach is the other way. Some programs are so big that the programs attract the players. It takes decades to build that sort of reputation so UK's best option, I think, is to identify, get and retain that great coach. CMS's reputation isn't gaining steam and next year's schedule will make next year a tough one for clearly identifiable progress. I think that CMS will be on the hot seat next year.

Florida and Tennessee are back on track and Mizzou and South Carolina won't be down long. Even Vandy's confidence is starting to build and they are doing it through Derek Mason's established reputation as a top-drawer defensive coach. Vandy will develop an average offense and through consistently having an upper-tier SEC defense will avoid the bottom. UK needs better coaching to avoid the bottom.

When we remove Stoops and make him the full time recruiter and let Rich Brooks handle X's and O's, player development and hiring of assistants (an area where Stoops has been exceedingly terrible).

When UK has a real QB like the rest of the SEC they will do well. When UK has OLineman who can pass protect, they will do well. When UK has WR who doesn't drop the ball at critical times they will do well. When UK has size and quickness two deep on the DL they will do well.

Stoops gets 5 years to work on all the above. End of discussion.
