I need you to speak in complete sentences before you talk to me. I am not going to sift through nonsense.

That isn't what I said. I said that he moved to MN to make his life better and was involved in ministry. According to those close to him and what was reported, he got involved in that in TX when he was incarcerated. There are people who change. You can chose to think he was a bad person and deserved to be murdered, doesn't matter one bit to me.

Laugh all you want.
You leave out the part that evidently his "ministry" included the use of Fentanyl.......which was one of the reasons he was hard for the cops to handle........still not an excuse to put his knee on his neck......should have just got his baton out and wore his *** out with that..........

What I am saying is that we should be outraged about both issues and stop picking the one that fits best fits with our thoughts or beliefs. I mean lets be outraged when, by all indications, what seems to be a good cop is shot. There are obviously bad ones so lets try to keep the good ones on the force and be outraged when anyone takes their life regardless of which side of the isle we are on.

CB, I've got a lot of respect for what you're saying if you truly get both points and you're being intellectually honest. In fact, if that's where you're coming from I'm with you 100% (I haven't read all the posts so I'm not sure what else may have been said). But I've got no respect for the whataboutism proffered by people arguing from demagoguery or inconsistency - which is what I think you're saying you also don't like.

Or the Capital Police Officer dragged face first down the steps of the Capital and beaten with American flags...You know, the flag everyone is upset about our players disrespecting...

I do not agree with looting, rioting, burning buildings down, etc. I think those people are opportunists taking advantage of a horrible situation. I am sure there were people at the Capital who truly wanted to peacefully protest their disagreement of the election, but like the BLM, they were there and it is often hard to tell in the middle of thousands of people who is doing what.

As to the police were shot during BLM protests, I highly doubt it was by the people who actually care about our country and the people in it and were there to try to make it better.

This is exactly what I am talking about. The good BLM protestors were overshadowed by the actions of the bad apples. I personally know a couple of people who went to the Capitol to protest peacefully and they said there were a lot doing just that but just like the BLM protest what they went for was overshadowed by the lunatics. So both sides lump them all together as crazy rioters when that isn't the case. We should be upset at those taking advantage of the situation not all the people that are there and that goes for both protest.

Antifa pretending to be Trump supporters so reported.
Not certain but wouldn’t be one bit surprised if there were many Antifa losers involved. I’d bet even money that the nitwit with the confederate flag was BLM/Antifa. That’s how they play the game. Our worthless media will never seek out the truth so they know they can get away with most anything.

It’s really simple. The news media cherry picks stories they deem an injustice. They all show it and say the exact same thing. Everyone who consumes media sees it and says goodness this must be a big issue because it’s everywhere.

Then if you actually research the issue you see that it actually only occurs in decimal point percentages and isn’t near the issue it’s made to be. In the meantime, media has controlled how people think and advertisers have made money because they buy their products since they “care”.

If he was high on Fentanyl, he would be more likely to pass out than be hard to handle. It is probably the strongest pain medication out there, more so than Heroin. I think you are confusing the effects with Meth.

Can you provide any evidence at all that he was behaving in a manner that justified excessive force? I would love to see it. All I can find is this body cam footage which shows me that he didn't deserve to die.

George Floyd was a child molester? I knew he had a conviction over a decade ago for aggravated robbery in TX, but I thought it was well known he had moved to MN to turn his life around and was actively involved in ministry. I cannot find anything on him being a child molester

People of color are treated differently. It isn't hard to see and is everywhere.
I'm sorry, he actually held a pregnant woman at gunpoint to rob her. Jacob Blake was the child molester..

It's sad for me that this thread got sideways. I don't do other social media, and before things devolved I was really enjoying the civil conversation, smart takes and good points being made by a number of folks on here, e.g., ryanbruner, 55wildcat, North Carolina Blue Wildcat, and many others. I'm confident if we would just continue to progress with civil conversation while trying to understand what the other person is saying, we'd see the divide in opinion was not so great as we make it out to be.

I wouldn't be surprised either. Just as I wouldn't be surprised if there were far right supporters out there during the BLM movement stirring the pot.

A number of those were not innocent. Also, if you're having to go back to the 1960s and beyond to make such a short list, there really isn't a problem modern day. I certainly won't argue the 1960s era.

Lets not forget, the knee to the neck is a taught tactic for the police, that was procedure. AND remember the video, he was in distress about not breathing way before the officer put him to the ground. That was very possibly the overdose taking its affect

That is not true. There is zero evidence that the woman was pregnant. Post your proof.
Would you stop it with the post your proof.......all of this has been published in the news ad naseamm........you have evidently choose to ignore printed facts and bought the "company line".......

Wasn't a victim.....I quit their drugs....
I don't know your situation but I am proud of you for overcoming your addiction. Drug addiction in our state and the pills that are being pushed through by professional drug dealers and politicians riddled my childhood. I was lucky enough to go through the system and see the other side but I do commend you for getting your life together. Many don't.

Read the court report and you'll find the VICTIM's testimony says he MOST definitely did point a gun at the woman's stomach.

Dude, can you seriously not read? I said she wasn't pregnant. I never disputed he pointed a gun at her stomach? WTF??

Regardless we are talking about something that happened over 2 decades ago. People can change. It seems that he turned away from crime but later in life fell to drug addiction. We can talk about his situation without calling into record something that happened when someone was 20 instead of 45 or whatever he was.

Sorry I haven't read the other 194 posts..... just wanted to state my opinion.

Re Freedom to Peacefully Protest

A basic right in this country.

I've heard some say "You can have freedom to peacefully protest, but not during the national anthem"

Well, then you don't have freedom, if other people tell you when you can have that freedom.

Disagreement over to do it or not is warranted,.......but I respect others beliefs, even when I don't agree with them.

If being patriotic is a political stance then I’m really glad I’m on the side of those bastards who are patriots. Funny how now even having a flag on your house essentially means you are partisan. Actually it’s more sad than funny.

Both political parties used to be patriots. Not so
Much anymore I suppose. But As stated I’m happy to be firmly entrenched in the party where it’s ok to fly an American flag at my house without being called a white supremacist or separatist or colonizer.

Having a flag at your house doesn't make you patriotic. Exercising your rights and standing up for those liberties and freedoms makes you patriotic.
