When does this site get smart enough to have a only RU Wrestling forum?

There is no need for it. Besides, as a wrestling person, why complain. Just take over this board. It will be more telling when the lax, and baseball etc. people start calling for it to get us out of here.

Disagree..Wrestling at The State University of NJ is a a Beast..Not complaining at all but just think a only Wrestling forum is deserved..Like Iowa and Penn State have..There are probably numerous NJ/ Rutgers Wrestling fans that have No clue of this site/forum...Why not bring them in?

just asking...No disrespect to the other Programs but cmon
Wrestling needs its own board. Let's be honest, wrestling is talked about year round now on this board. Sports like lax, baseball and soccer get volume during their seasons, but not year round activity like wrestling does now.

That forum has been reincarnated on Facebook as the NJ Wrestling Forum Group Page. Many College and HS wrestlers, coaches and fans are on that site. There are about 6 admins that function as moderators. I think you know this.

If the FB team doesn't show some signs of life soon, maybe the mods could just switch them. Probably the same amount of "OT" posts as football related ones.

Big fan, good friends with a major supporter of the program, on these boards almost daily, but don’t really see a need for its own board. I mean...why? Just “because”? Not against it, don’t get me wrong!

Is there a reason we can't have separate boards for different sports? Is there a limit to the number you can set up? Is there an additional charge to the site owner?
Why do we have an forum called "Rutgers Hoops' listed in the "FORUMS" and if you click on the 'All Forums' entry you get entries for 'Mens Basketball' and 'Womens Basketball'?

I don't see the need. People are hardly disciplined enough to limit wrestling discussions to just this board as it is. Whenever there is a significant event in any sport a thread will be started on the FB board. I think the logic is that the FB board is the most popular forum (not sure that is the case these days) and thus a post there is creating awareness of the event to a broader set of RU followers. I find myself spending less time on the FB board given the lack of substantive discussion as compared to the mens basketball and this forum. I am glad the OT's stay concentrated on the FB board.

To be fair here, I’ve only been in charge of the site for a year now, LOL! We are 100% looking into making a solely wrestling free board at the moment and I can get back to you with more info soon. In the mean time, Lex is the best in the business when it comes to covering RU Wrestling and recruiting.

If you don’t have premium then that means you don’t know about the four national level recruits visiting this weekend! Plus he’s a former RU a wrestler, def suggest giving our premium side a try if you haven’t already. Side note ITS FREE UNTIL AUGUST!!!!

Promo Code: TKRFB19
Offer: Premium Access free trial until 08.10.19
Offer valid through 06.30.19

Site asked me for a password: I entered my pw for access to the site and it was rejected -- I then tried TKRFB19 and that was rejected too. What's the problem?

Well how about till then we just bold and capitalize wrestling and title the forum like this:

WRESTLING
, baseball, soccer, lax & more!.

That should satisfy everyone, without disrespecting others.:)

Frankly to spin off Wrestling to its own board would be dilutive and a mistake, IMO. Outside of a handful of hardcore wrestling fans, most of the visitors to this board are Rutgers fans in general, most likely alumni and/or big fans of FB or MBB. They want to stay up to date on the comings and goings of the non-rev sports and occasionally engage in discussion. I would put myself and others I know in that category. I read a lot of wrestling content and occasionally post but it’s unlikely if ever visit a dedicated wrestling board. The result would be a far more stagnant board with the same few people rehashing the same conversations. Better to attract a broader audience. You gain nothing by spinning it off, in fact it would probably result in far less actual wrestling content.
