Losing Witson made a huge impact.
I thought we played well in the trenches in the first half and then got abused in the second half. Whitson injury played a factor but they clearly wore us down. We’ve still got to improve our talent level in the trenches.

Agreed we played well. I don’t think we played bad in the second half.
they made adjustments and their line is good. But we held serve and stayed in it!!
O line looked far better this game than game 1. Far better.

ASU had 4 0f their 5 starting OL back this year....they leaned on our DL hard the 2nd half. They dominated the entire 2nd half til the goal line stand.
Looking at the stats, we beat em good. The D all but shutdown Tyson. Leavitt didnt have 100 yards passing. They did run on us in the 2nd half but stood up when it counted. Turnovers hurt them & we didn't have any.

Yes they are more talented than us but we played hard and schemed well enough to stay in the game.

Jones from Clarksdale once again proves there are enough overlooked players in the delta to build a program on. Dude is legit and nobody wanted him.

Yep two places we need to get back to recruiting harder are the MS Delta and Georgia. We have had some great players over the years from there.
