Just realized that all 4 West Coast future B1G brothers have some semblance of gold as one of their colors. Currently 5 B1G schools have a shade of gold as one of their chief colors (Michigan, Iowa, Purdue, Maryland, and Minnesota). So 9 schools out of 18 will have gold as one of their chief colors, compared to 7 schools that have red as a chief color (Rutgers, Maryland, Indiana, OSU, Wisconsin, Nebraska, USC). Well considering how much money the B1G is slated to bring in, I say gold is an appropriate color to become the new official B1G color lol.

Gold? I think you mean yellow…other than Purdue, all those other schools sport yellow (or “maize” if you’re snooty Michigan).

Eh interchangeable outside of Michigan like you said who definitely is snobby enough to consider maize a legitimate color lol.

Oregon is straight-up “yellow” NOT any shade of “gold.” Twerps claim “gold” but it’s a stretch IMHO. Really just “yellow.”
