Winning 3 straight Egg Bowls would be a mighty strong step 1. Not sufficient, but enough for some serious elevation.

Beyond that, winning the SEC and/or finishing with a Top 10 ranking.

Even if he does this, but doesn't stay more than 5 years, I'd call it a push barring something truly incredible like winning a nat championship or winning the SEC multiple times in those 5 years.

Is he showed that Mississippi State can win. He made everybody except the Athletic Director believe in the program and insist on a higher standard.

No matter what Dan Mullen does at MSU I think that without The Kang, there is no Dan Mullen.
