I mean I hate to say this but I will NOT be surprised in the least if Crxxm ***** around during the offseason and we lose to JSU next year, that would NOT shock me at all given Crxxm's track record of having unprepared, unmotivated and undiscliped teams to start EVERY DAMN! year.

I'm all about playing JSU, Valley, Alcorn or even USM, but I am just not confident in the Crxxmster's ability as a head coach to get the easy victories. For example, I would have loved if we had played JSU during the early Jackie era because I had confidence in him as a competent coach during those times.

But with Crxxm its a toss-up every game and you just never know if we will get blown out or make it competitive. Under Crxxm, MSU can lose to ANY-DAMN-BODY (Maine) but in Slytanic's defense, he has shown if given 2 weeks to prepare we can beat some mediocre teams. (Vandy). If we had 2 weeks to prepare for every opponent, then I think Sly would do fine (sarcasm).

I guess I am still scarred from the Maine, Tulane, Houston and Vandy debacles of the past, even to the point where I thought the Crxxmdog would actually LOSE to SE LA this year and it was NOT going to be a surprise to anybody (Luckily that didn't happen, but note: were down 3-0 at one early point in that game).

Bottom line, I'm not afraid to bring on the SWAC schools, USM, Big 10, Big 12, etc - just bring in a competent Head coach to give us a fighting chance to actually win those games. Otherwise, we will sink further into becoming the yearly laughing stock of this state and the SEC.

they get a lot of d1 transfers and have just had a tough time meshing the team this year. they have two pretty good qb's one of whom has a rocket for an arm and the other can run pretty well (isn't that your old qb); they also have pittman from ole miss and some other transfers. They will also be sky-high for that game w/ a decent following (they will bring much more than vandy).

This is what I was thinking.

Scheduling JSU is a game all the Croom-haters can get behind (as in pulling for JSU).

Because even mediocrity-addicted MSU will not tolerate a loss to an in-state SWAC school.

JSU has some good players, but there is a reason they are in the SWAC.</p>

For some reason we don't get up for the games that should be like a scrimmage. Losing to Louisiana Tech this year was unacceptable and I have know reason to think that JSU couldn't beat us.
