Where are all of the Towson love threads?

My goodness, so what if OM is improved? How many different threads do we need talking about it? You guys make sure and high five a Rebel today, and kiss their *** in person. You think those folks were sitting around Mullen's first year after we let that LSU game go talking about how much better we looked, and how great a coach and motivator Mullen was? Hell no! They were shouting from the moutaintops he was a humpback ego maniac that would be gone in a year, and we were lucky to be allowed to stay in teh SEC.

Sickening. Call me a homer. Better than being a kiss ***.

I actually agree with you. I don't really get the rush by some of our better posters to give credit to Ole Miss.

Yes, of course they are improved. There was nowhere to go but up. They have a bunch of talent at the skill positions outside of quarterback. They've always had talented skill positions.

It's reminds me of the way many here were bowing before Andy Kennedy when he was hired and we see how that has turned out. I just don't get the urgent need of State fans to point out our rival's improvement. They sure as hell don't do that with us.

I think a lot of it has to do with the few posters who have beaten the drum over and over and over that OM has not improved at all.

Perhaps.....

I don't really get the rush by some of our better posters to give credit to Ole Miss.

.....they aren't actually the best posters?

Any nimrod could see that Ole Miss would 'improve' over their last 4 games of last year. MSU fans of all people should know that teams quit when their coach is fired midseason. They still aren't any good. Emotion gets the best of people, and they freak out. We played some teams pretty solidly during the Croom Error too (mainly because the other team was very flat). Simply put, you really can't overlook anyone, even the dregs of the conference.

I hope Mullen realizes this point sooner rather than later. See this weekend.

I think most expected for Bama to have a comfortable lead at some point in the 3rd quarter. They didn't. Ole Miss deserves some credit for that.

Bama played Ole Miss like they and LSU have played us the past few years - they didn't do much but won.

Agreed, they had similar stats against UA that Western Ky had. No doubt they are improved, but still they had about 200 yds offense? Their defense did ok, but McCarron was 14 of 15 at one time last night. I know its bama which is probably the best team in college football right now, but let's wait to anoint them much improved.

Just to not be a homer, I expect a similar result when we play over there. Maybe a little better game, but not much different in the end.

One thing you are forgetting. We didn't play yesterday and the bama/om game was prime time. Most of our fans here probably watched it. I guess no one should talk about it though.

I didn't forget that. I didn't realize it was State fans job to be the ones to promote it over and over again. If by talk about it you mean half teh threads about it, no we shouldn't. Did you read my post? Did they do the same when we had LSU beat Mullen's first year? You've made this same reply in every thread, and hey, this is your world. Just my opinion. Pucker up, Buttercup.

Who the 17 cares what their fans said about Mullen with red and blue goggles on? You basically complimented MSU fans for not denying what they saw with their own eyes like OM fans. Good job. You didn't even realize the hypocrisy of your own post. I left it out in my reply because it wasn't necessary to call you a dubmass.

You're probably right. I haven't been on the board as much lately and haven't seen those threads. I was just thinking that meager improvement was a given.

I don't think you understand. I wasn't complimenting State fans. I'm not saying State fans should say the kinds of things OM said about us. I'm saying State fans shouldn't be patting them on the back all over the boards. They are doing enough of that themselves. But hey, like I said, as long as they don't think you're a homer, success, right?

Then why bring up their denial of our improvement in year one at all?

I am not complimenting OM fans. I am talking about a football game and doing what we do best on sports message boards, arguing back and forth about the pros and cons of a team's play. OM looked better than I expected last night and I responded to threads about it. I don't think they looked great or even a bowl team. They improved, that's it. We have people who have been unable to admit any improvement at all. I made fun of that. I disagree with them. Get over it or start threads about something else.
