Where Are The Other Threads?

I only see a handful of baseball threads. Maybe it’s a settings issue.

At any rate, regarding college summer baseball, my Tarboro River Bandits in the Old North State League play for the title tonight. ONSL is a mostly D2-D3 wooden bat league - Barton College, NC Wesleyan, High Point University, Charleston Southern, etc., and are dominating lately. Last night at home in front of over 600 folks Tarboro beat Lexington, NC 9-6 and plays for the title at Lexington tonight.

All of the old content is still on the 247 board
Evidently, when IC moved to CBS/247, it agreed that all content created by IC, as well as all input from posters on IC's message boards, would become--and remain--the property of CBS/247. Watching Tommy Ashley and Jason Staples in the side bar video from an old IC podcast, while reading a former Rivals' columnist on a CBS/247 site, is a distortion from a dystopian universe.

IC probably could have paid to take the content with them, but the price may have been prohibitive.

We live in an evanescent world.

It is weird over there currently. I don’t understand the people not willing to migrate over here. I guess there are board-first people for whom the reporting and coverage was secondary to the board community. I do find it odd the former rivals reporters just get to step into the shell of the IC brand.

As an independently owned company, we own our content and can post it here (but they would not let us run any sort of automatic article or board migration - but can't force them to stop using our past content.

It is what it is. We've dedicated our last 25 years to building the community. All we can do is focus forward and bring that same focus and energy here.

I bet most of them will eventually migrate over here, especially when they realize there’s no baseball content. I will say it took me a little while to get used to the new layout though. I paid through March, so I’m planning on just going between all the boards.

Once you get I.C. set as your default home there is very little difference in layout.

Inside Carolina has earned my trust and has proven that their staff wants what is best for the school, not just to maximize page views from the latest football commitment. I consider the IC staff to be highly credible.

I have nothing against the former THI staff but I did cancel my 247 subscription.
