Where does etou go?

All in all, etou was a player but now irreplaceable. Eddie could've utilized him a little bit more to give him reason to stay but oh well, not a program breaker.

I think he either goes to big east/maac/ aac.

I could see a providence, st johns, seton hall, some maac schools. I could also see him being recruited by umd but that's probably the only big ten school. He wasn't academically big ten.

Just putting it out there for conversation.

Bac, i thought about URI as well. I think he may go back to big east since he is a rebounder of sorts. I see him at a providence, seton hall, st johns type of school.

Etou and Delgado on the boards. The other team would never get the ball.

Don't forget Etou has to sit a year-Delgado may be good enough for the next level after his next season. Gibbs will graduate and Whitehead will want to start making some $$ after his soph year by the time Etou would be able to play. Willard will be on the hot seat, a lot of question marks at SHU in 2 years. I could see GW for Etou, like bac mentioned.

Rc, great points. Didn't take all that into consideration. People must really want out if they're willing to sit a year.

I would think he may go to a school that was recruiting him vs RU. Does anyone know who else offered him besides RU ?

Clemson, Kansas, Maryland, Memphis ,Miami, & WV.offered
Would Junior (or you) rather play for a big time loser, or sit and get garbage minutes for a big time winner? Maybe grab a ring or two.

But would those programs want him.
Offensively I would say no, defensively I say they would.
According to their needs Etou might not be wanted like he was before and wonder why those programs
didn't make a big push to get Junior instead of watching him take the RU offer.
I say Etou will go to a program that he thinks will allow him to be a big part of their offense, rather than be the teans defensive stopper.
I don't think any of those programs will be in Junior's future.
If he couldn't be a scorer playing for the Gang that couldn't Shoot Straight, I doubt those programs will look at Etou as an offensive threat and he'll look elsewhere.

Seems like he'd be perfect for WVU. A long, athletic guy who can't shoot and can be a part of a 10 man fouling rotation.

If junior wants to he can play starter minutes on a NCAA team. This one has the potential of really hurting when we realize what we missed.

We were really hurting when Dahntay Jones transferred, among others. This is just a blip on the radar compared to some previous RU transfers.

But will he.
Could have played smarter minutes at Rutgers but didn't and wasn't just the coaches fault.
The I want attitude he had took away from his game and even though a real good defensive player
wanted to be more of RU's offense but didn't show a good O game.

Potential Junior has, but will he harness it at the major level if the coach don't make him a major part of their
offensive plan because of his shooting isn't good enough ?
Etou might look better playing for a school like Manhattan or Iona, but not in a school in one of the top conferences.

Never forget Eddie saying Etou's job was to play defense and Mack and Jack to score. Sums up the Eddie Jordan regime.

He'd be a great fit at WVU if he could handle Huggins. Would be a shock going from Jordan to Huggins.

Etous game was exactly what this program needs. I think Etou leaving is a devastating blow to the program. If anyone had any confidence in Jordan this has to shatter it. We all hear what until Jordan gets his guys..... It is clear Jordan doesn't have a recruiting strategy. He gets whatever he can. Etou and guy from Georgetown exhibits A and B. Will Jordan ever have a guy commit to this program and play more than 2 years?

Ad Junior shown why that was, just about every time he went to score.
Another HC might do better with him as an offensive weapon , but the D is Etou's strength
and he hasn't shown the scorer's ability that he thinks he has.
Etou was on a poor shooting team and fit in offensively that way. .

A coach with a stronger and more demanding demeanor might be able to get Etou out of his funk. Yes he rebounded a bit, but he also disappeared at the end of games and OFTEN had 2pts in an entire game. His facial expressions and body language exuded apathy.

I dont think he HAS a strong desire to play for a top notch winner but he is talented enough to go to a mid level team, get the bills paid and have more fun I guess.
