Well, I'd put all of these first:

Sept 4th Memphis
Sept 9th Auburn (ESPN Thursday Night)
Sept 25th Georgia
Oct 2nd Alcorn State
Oct 23rd UAB
Oct 30th Kentucky
Nov 20 Arkansas
Nov 27 @ Mississippi

And then I'd rank SBW as a tie with most away games.

it's not in my top ten probably, unless something were actually on the line. It's certainly behind Bama, Florida if we play them, Auburn, UT, whatever good games are at home, plus it's behind the bowl game, and behind a good baseball weekend. It's late in the year, bad weather, and typically meaningless.

Also, I just read your post for real and caught the dripping sarcasm. Still, the point stands for some. I also feel you're missing something, like a troy mcclure day or something.

The only "good games" you guys have at home are the ones the SEC forces you to play. Also, I would not say it was meaningless this past year. Itmeant alot to me to get to see State stomp a mudhole in Ole Miss. Also,I presume you are only speaking for yourself by putting the Egg Bowl behind an Ole Miss baseball game?

and I haven't made the egg bowl in probably ten years, so I think that makes it pretty obvious where it ranks.

Let's not knock North Face Day! Where I live it's very important (snow this a. m.). However, Underarmor Day is surging! That being said, I am still a Mossy Oak guy most of the time.

1. Bulldog Bash Weekend
2. Whatever our next biggest home football weekend is
3. Super Bulldog Weekend
4. Rest of football home games.

It's usually number two but the recent suckitude of our baseball team has begun its decline on my list.

..but honestly it might be #1 as far as fun goes. I'm pretty down right now that I'm having to miss it this year. I even had to pay $250 to cancel a plane ticket specifically for SBW. 17 me this sucks.

If you made it "home only" eggbowls I would be more inclined to rank it higher. I know too many folks in oxford that would be dicks win or lose and I would most likely not hang around after the game to deal with that (I'm sure its the same for OM fans in starkville).

I was excited about the game this year, but as an entire weekend it definitely had nothing on at least 3-4 other home games this season (LSU, FLA, ALA, HOU off the top of my head). The eggbowl was obviously awesome this year but i felt that even the junction was sub-par that weekend.

It just wouldn't be an enjoyable experience.

Best sporting event I've ever been to in S'vegas is the 2007 Super Regional - And it's not even close. Easily ahead of the 2007 Bama football game.

though the '99 game or about then when it was freezing cold and pouring down rain, where deuce threw the td to romaro was a damn electric atmosphere. I still remember the drum solo of In The Air Tonight as rain poured down in the dark. Awesome. But in general, it's cold, it's not a huge crowd, and the grove is dead compared to other games, due to the vacation break.

It was about 147 degrees out. 2 coats of sunblock didn't work. My feet had turned dark purple. I had a very sweet V neckburn line to go along with my raccoon eyes. After I "Hulk Hogan'd" my t-shirt off when we won the 2nd game, I jumped over the fence, apologized to the guy with the broken leg for almost landing on him, and ran on the field andspear tackled Joseph29. I was in a drunkenstupor that whole weekend. Don't remember much of the weekend after that 2nd game.</p>

We more than likely would have had Raffo replace Polk, and I think that we would have struggled as much as we are now. We would have to give him at least 3-4 years of sucking it up before we got rid of him. I don't know how Raffo would have recruited, I think that would have been the x-factor. He has done OK as far as recruiting at Arkansas State, but he kept the previous staff, and that allowed them to keep their ties and things like that, and that has helped him out a little bit.

In short, be glad it didn't happen.
