Like I’m thrilled but now I want that second half back. When we lost I was like “ah maybe too soon” but today showed it wasn’t! Dang! We’d be freaking three and 0 with wins over Bama and A&M. Imagine a 3-0 UK with two back to back T15 wins. Lexington would be on fire!

I’m very excited for what comes next. Now we need to show we can go into Columbia and smack them around.

I get the outcome of 24 and 25 spoiled it, but a lot of people here are glossing over the win against #6 Ole Miss and Kiffin two years ago.

I’m 34 so I’ll go with:

1) 2007 LSU
2) 2018 Florida
3) 2007 Louisville
4) 2026 Texas A&M
5) 2016 Louisville
6) 2021 Florida
7) 2011 Tennessee (I don’t care if they sucked. Ending that streak that way after so many painful loses was euphoric)
8) 2024 Ole Miss (would be much higher if not for season outcome)
9) 2010 South Carolina
10) 2023 Louisville

Will have to see how the rest of this year plays out but too me while the win was great at the time the rest of the year was awful. Just another staple of the stoops tenure ( the inconsistency)

A win over #9 and lead Bama at half(while the offense was an absolute turd). I hope nobody is still talking about Sumrall. We made the right hire.

Best wins in my Fandom.
1, 1977 We beat Tennessee 21-17. Mike Deatin comes off the bench, Stills immortal hit Jimmie Sreator late, deep in our territory, causing a fumble and seals the game.
2. 1977 we beat Penn State 24-20 at Penn State. They were 4th ranked nobody outside of SEC thought we could even play football beating Jo Pa in his prime on national TV.

3. 2018 We beat Florida 27 - 16. Breaking the FBS longest losing streak at 21. So, so satisfying.
4, 2007 we beat #1 LSU 27-21 in 3 overtimes immortal game. It was the first time we had beaten a 1# ranked since 1964.
5.2006 UK beats Clemson in the Music City bowl 28 to 20. The first bowl game we had won in 22 years.
This game would be about 8th on my list.

As far as a ranked win, I’ll go ahead and say this win is behind 07 LSU. This is the first time I can remember we physically overpowered a top 10 opponent on the road

This is close to my list except id have the two citrus bowl wins above this one because a) we were down guys and b) they were bowl games when those meant alot.

Then id have this one equal with the ole miss road win a few years ago. That one was unexpected too. We were down two starting cbs vs an nfl qb and lane kiffin, but we also had some very lucky plays, so I don't give it as much weight.

I was in College Station for the last UK game there. It was an exciting game but UK just could not get it done. The third quarter yesterday reminded me of beating the ranked MSU at home when we had Benny Snell and he ran all over them for 165 yards. It was not just that we were winning, but we were putting the game out of reach. Just did not feel like anything I am used to as a UK fan.

The LSU win, the PSU Citrus Bowl win, the first Florida win under Stoops (only game where I actually prayed), beating Lamar, beating Bama back under Mumme (not a good Bama team but that game was deafening and so much fun), etc. all better for me but this one ranks well. One of the toughest atmospheres in CFB, even if I think A&M was over rated/ranked.

Oh no doubt that wasn't a knock on Sumrall but I think we got the right guy. He has the style we need for UK. Sumrall will get players because he's at Florida but I think Stein has a little more swag and credibility that is needed at a school like UK.

I'm excited for the future. Just hope in 3 or 4 years we can keep Stein.

This win is pretty damn high - the optics of our program the last two years plus the infusion of Stein, Batt, and a new-age NIL/TP attitude make me think we are in for a tough but enjoyable ride!

To me it's a very odd win to rank. I was going to say #1, but I forgot about that Penn State win. Also, the original Florida win was more important. It's more than 15 years ago, but I'd rank LSU and UofL as more exciting too.

But to give my perspective, this is easily the most satisfying win in my life. It wasn't a close win, nor a fluke win, nor a "well, that was nice but we're not really there" win. It felt more like a "we win that game 9 out of 10 times, dominant" win against a top 10 team on the road. And I don't think that has happened in my lifetime.
