I'm (hoping) the Saints late 1st round. Saints need a do it all power back... not that Thomas and Bell are doing a good job.</p>

Dixon does not get drafted in the first FIVE rounds, I think his draft status falls pretty sharply after he goes to the combine overweight and again after interviews when people get a chance to hear him speak again, know what I am sayin' I just tryin' to get a W for my team and you know what I am sayin'

Yeah he may not sound like the brightest.. but the dude is a dang happy go lucky fella. Don't see teams holding the way he talks against him.

I really haven't watched his blocking too closely but he catches extremely well for a big back. He also has a great stiff arm and breaks tackles well. I figure 2nd or 3rd round, possibly a steal in the 4th. Of course the draft can work funny sometimes with people dropping due to the teams' needs that are picking at the time.

I don't know what his 40 is now... but he has good (in game) speed. I have not seen many if at all catch him from behind. I do remember a guy at the Ga Tech run him down from behind... but that was when he was 10-15 lbs heavier

I will guess after hopefully working on his 40 time, he should run around 4.5-4.6. If he gets lower than 4.5, he might go late first round or early 2nd. He has all the tools you want out of a big back.

He has an improved line from last year and is absolutely cruising this year. His ability to extend the play by lowering the shoulder and hitting the hole at full speed at 235 pounds is very advantageous, especially with the 2 back system in place throughout the NFL. This 2 back system allows for a smaller speed back and a larger power back to work together. Dixon is the perfect complement to one of those speed guys. I say Texans take him as a dual threat with Steve Slaton in the 2nd or 3rd, or maybe the Chiefs since they are gonna need a big back that can handle alot of carries now that Johnson is gone.

I understand you have a mancrush on all things LSU but Scott would not have run that 70 yard TD any better than Dixon.

I don't see him "Scott" being any faster now, however AD's 40 is prob alil faster

Just my guess. Dixon is a HARD WORKER and busts his *** in practice. He will come into the combine in excelent shape. After a few weeks with Steve Dudley he will put down a 4.5 maybe low 4.6 and show out. The guy is just a gifted athlete. I hope the best for Anthony, he has givin his best to Mississippi State.

said that pro scouts love him b/c he is a good blocker, a hard runner, and has good hands. of course he also said he had a problem with fumbles and that ellis johnson was still our DC, so take it FWIW.

I personally think his 40 time will keep him from being drafted really high, but I can't see him going too far past the end of the 3rd round. I could also see him going late in the 2nd round.

uh.... have you heard Chris Johnson speak, or the lack thereof... at least Anthony can make a complete sentence. Chris Johnson doesn't even make sense when he talks.

It just goes on and on and on. Your life is so, so sad. You are constantly wrong, but once you hit one prediction, you harp about it for weeks. All the times you are wrong, you bury your head in the sand. You are a coward and everyone knows it.

would be awesome. I don't think they need him though. PT Bruiser is 24 and Mike Bell is 26. Doubt the Saints will be drafting a running back of Dixon's caliber until the 2012 draft.

The Patriots could be the right team for Dixon. Belichick likes backs who can do it all (block, catch, run) and Dixon fits that bill. They have a ton of running backs but it seems like Kevin Faulk and Fred Taylor have been in the league since they moved the goal posts back (both are 33). Sammy Morris is only a year younger than those guys, so they're gonna need someone else to spell Lawrence Maroney soon. I don't know if they're sold on Green-Ellis. He hasn't even gotten 20 carries this year.
