DCD, I know you were one of them....its like I and a couple of others said- all you have to do is give out his record...nobody can argue that one

white guilt possessors. Croom, while honorable, didnt get the job done. Period. Anyone trying to make it a race issue will look like a fool.

On top of Croom's record was enough icing on the cake for most media people to keep from making a huge fuss. I think most would realize they would look stupid trying to seriously defend Croom at this point. Plus, he technically "resigned". He wasn't "fired".

...olemissbydamn told us a year or two ago there would be national race riots if Croom was fired.

So I guess those nation-wide riots were called off when the rioters got word Croom "resigned" instead of got fired.

That you, Sly Croom, for resigning. Otherwise it would have gotten ugly.

He resigned after one of the teams worst performances under his command.

You can say he was forced to resign, whatever. Bottom line, the headlines read "Croom resigns" not "MSU fires Croom."

We gave him a fair shot- five years. We should not be where we are in year five. Anyone that has watched this team knows what a royal cluster<17> it was. Even Mark May said "he just didn't get it done." It's not like he has won 8 games a year his first four seasons and then had one losing season and we kick him to the curb.

Plus, I think we got a pass because we were willing to give a black coach a chance. That's what the BCA wants- them to get a chance.

but I'll admit it's even less than I thought it would be.

Like I said, I'm willing to put up with a week of BS to get a good here.

is a hilarious
There is absolutely no patience out there. I don't know what Mississippi State expects but it's not going to do much better than Croom.
From Dennis Dodd (followed by some equally insipid comments). If he would have truly fired up the stereotypical MSU article machine, he could have thrown in some more jabs at Starkville.
Maybe if Bobby Ross keeps giving his opinion, we might get some more articles like this.

NOT to fire him or make a deal for his resignation. He failed at his job over and over again. Two more wins this year and he keeps his job. Every rational person knows it.

It's only a matter of time before Stephen A. Smith, Jessie Jackson and the Rainbow Coalition descend upon Mississippi State like stink on rice.
