We got to get someone tall who can stretch the field. Make Balis whip him into shape and destroy his attitude. He wasn't a 5 star receiver recruit for nothing. He ought to use some of that money he got from Ole Miss to walk-on somewhere.

Patterson obviously had problems since he couldnt take care of business at the JUCO he went too either. Sanders however redshirted last year so im not really sure why you would bring him up?

that Sanders was built into an all-everything player (like Singleton and Brassell) and then turned out to be just another guy on the team. Not a bust by any means, but not a Julio Jones type.

I think Yancy does a fantastic job with his site, honestly. He makes money and the school somewhat benefits from the hype of an alleged highly ranked recruiting class. It's when they hit the field, that he looks stupid. But by then everyone has forgotten and they start blaming the coach.

No one ever thought he was a Julio Jones type. Julio was physically ready for SEC football the day he set foot on Alabama. I dont understand how you can say that Vincent Sanders is just "another player on the team." He hasnt even been on the field yet? He was redshirted last year because it would be stupid to waste a year of eligibility when he wasnt quite ready yet. I wouldnt say he is just another player on the team until AT LEAST after next season and maybe not until 2012-2013 season when he is a sophomore.

I might be wrong on this, but I thought he was expected to make a splash pretty quickly for the team and probably even earn a starting spot. I could be wrong about it though.<div>
</div><div>Maybe it had something to do with him not being able to join the team until midway through TwoADays.</div>

Coaches don't promise immediate playing time.

Sanders looked good in Fall. it was apparently a tough choice to RS...we will see how he does this year, but he is expected to make a push for a starting slot and will be in the rotation. If we get a guy that is a 3-4 year starter out of him I am not sure what more we could ask.

He redshirted because he needed to put on weight. He broke his jaw during his senior season and was on a liquid diet for some time. He lost weight down to the low 160s at one point and reported at only 170lb.

...still ticks me off. He could have been a first rounder had he redshirted instead and gotten that year at the end of his career.
