This past summer, I picked up a 10' X 10' "Collegiate Gazebo" in MSU maroon and white at Walmart on sale for $99. I thought I'd found a good deal in the off season. We've used it throughout the summer around the pool for shade and have really enjoyed it. But, yesterday, we had an afternoon thunderstorm blow in quick. A gust of wind blew the tent over and the frame bent all to ****. On further inspection, I noticed how flimsy the metal in the frame really was. I guess I got what I paid for.

So now, just a few weeks away from kick off, I'm looking for a new tailgate tent. Of course, I'd like an MSU tent but as long as its 10' X 10' I'm good as I can use the cloth from the broken tent. I'd like to find one with a better built, sturdier frame. Does anyone know of any QUALITY tents and where to get them?

you will have to settle for it being white, but as far as quality it will be a good one. Its gonna cost $200 at least but should last you a while....the one I have I bought from sams and it actually has support bars running under the canopy for extra support, most others that i have seen only have the bars that make up the frame of the tent which allows the tent to be more flimsy...

Thanks Flab, I wouldn't expect anything more from you. Thank you for the tip on using Google but I had already run through MANY Google links for tailgate tents prior to posting. Most looked as flimsy as the tent I had or worse. I was looking for some personal experience with tents.

However, I did enjoy the photos of Erin Andrews that your Google link took me to. I still think that whole deal was a set up to get her more attention and boost her career. I think dude will come out of jail to a nice paycheck.

if you don't mind just getting a white one.

Its probably the cheapest of the EZ Ups around and that's what you want.

You could ask where to buy a car and I would say Academy. They sell everything for cheap.

I got one at Dick's on sale for 70 bucks. It is the dreaded blue however.<div>
</div><div>But still, I'll take the blue for a huge discount. If you have a Dick's nearby, it should be worth checking out. I'm sure you'll want to check out dicks.</div>

the ones they sell at the lodge with the maroon and white sides and msu will last about 2 to 3 seasons. they are pretty good especailly considering how rough our group was taking them down after the game. Bought 2 white ez-ups from a guy i play softball with. Both seem built a whole lot better. hoping they will last since i played a pretty good bit for the 12x12 one. From what I have seen in the Junction alot depends how you take care of them and dont force them down when your drunk. And dont be the idiot who leaves the top on them friday night. Id say over 50 tents got runied the lsu game because of rain.

But nicely played.

We do have some high quality tents now. Granted, it's just the tan tops, but they are actually 10'x10'. Not the pieces of **** that come with the MState tops that are really 9'x9' and crumble if a few leaves fall on them. Our tents will be guarded by machine gun wielding bears and rabid badgers with lasers. We may even build a moat full of vipers and anacondas. Not that it matters to me that much. I'll be chilling at the SPS spread, critiquing the general's pork recipes.

/got the new ones at WalMart last year for $75.
