I'm going to go ahead and say Mississippi State. Florida St.and Tenn already have a QB committed for this class. UCLA is after a 4 star QB Brett Hundley and he is high on them. I think he may be waiting to see what Hundley does. Phllip loved Norm Chow at NC State and of course he is now offensive coordinator at UCLA. I believe that NC State is actually the fallback team after MSU and we are after UCLA. Phillip recently made a comment on Jim Rome that he will have 2 college teams to pull for depending on who his brother plays for (source: NC State message board). Then there is this story:

A couple weeks ago I was talking with a friend who is an Ole Miss sidewalk fan. His parents live next door to Phillip River's parents. He goes over 4 or 5 times a year and plays poker with Phillip during the offseason and Phillip gives him tickets to a Chargers game a couple times a year. Anyway, I mentioned that we were recruiting Stephen Rivers. He replied, "really? I'm going over there this weekend". So, of course I told him to find out whats up. Well, I see him again this past Saturday and he tells me that Stephen was there as well. He said that Stephen told him that he is now 6'8" but listed as 6'6" on most sites. He said he looked very thin but he could tell by his frame that he would gain more weight. He asked him about recruiting and he said that he liked Mississippi St. a whole lot. He said that he loved Dan Mullen because he is a great coach and he put 2 QB's in the NFL. He said that State has a lot of talent but right now they don't have a QB to throw the ball to them. He also mentioned that his dad went to MSU. He said that he was suppose to have already went to a camp at State but something came up but they have another one coming up in a couple of weeks. He mentioned that he had an offer from UCLA but that was a long way from home. He said that he had an offer from NC State but didn't speak much about them. He did mention LSU but said he didn't think he would go there. He also stated that Florida St. was out.

Not much there that most of us didn't know, but, my friend came back saying I may have to pull for MSU for the next four years. Take if for face value

Most likely LSU.</p>
He's around the 3rd or 4th guy on their prospect board at this position.<div>
</div><div>He clearly doesn't want to go to MSU unless he has to in my opinion. Unless he's actually taking his recruiting seriously.

I don't see him getting the LSU offer he's looking for with the guys ahead of him. Between NC State and MSU, MSU is his better option. I hope he sees it that way too.

NC State also has a QB that is already committed to them as well.

I have read that Rivers' is 6'7" I dont think we have ever had a QB taller than 6'5" to my knowledge. Hopefully if we do get him he can redshirt and bulk up and after two years on campus be about 230 and eventually be a Ryan Mallett type of QB.
