Whether kennedy is guilty or innocent really doesn't matter to me

My big problem is with his behavior. What is he doing out the night before the ballgame carousing with his buddies and coworkers like he is a college student? That's just unacceptable behavior. It's unnacceptable for my job, and it sure is for his. The fact that the usual suspects are defending this is mind boggling to me. The guy should be fired, plain and simple. How can anyone defend this behavior? If this guy coached at State I would want him gone immediately. The cab thing doesn't even matter, just that he was in that circumstance is enough for me.

The counter suit is ridiculous. Defamation of character? Dear Andy, you did this to yourself. Grow up.

I think coaches go out all the time on the road when their teams are back at the hotel. Well known coaches. The difference is, most of them are dining at one of the area's finer establishments Few are bar hopping on the strip. I disagree that the cab thing doesn't matter. It is really all that matters when it comes to Kennedy. Coaches can bounce back from carousing - see Eustachy. I never say never to the assault charge. But if it is proven that he is guilty of assault AND racial slurs, I think it's bye bye Andy. For good. I'm not a lawyer (although I used to play one of the Sixpack), but wouldn't that fall under the category as a hate crime? One more thing I disagree with. I don't know about your place of employment, but I know a lot of people who go out when they are one the road. The difference is, they don't have a bunch of 18 to 22 years olds that you are ultimately responsible for back at the hotel while they are out on the town.

Kennedy and the university are so busy covering up/finding the truth that there hasn't been one thing said about that. I would be absolutely furious at stans if word even got out that he left a bar drunk at 1 in the morning with a nationally televised game against the #9 ranked team the next night (and then promptly lose). Do that crap on your off time but you have a job to do at this time of year.

him being out and drinking at college bars is nothing new. If they were going to fire him for doing that, they would've fired him right after he got to school.

That's why I said it was only a matter of time before something happened. It doesn't make it any better, but it isn't like it's some new revelation that he likes to go out and party a little bit.

care less about him being fired or not. om basketball does not scare me, as a state fan. sure, they may be good once every 10 years or so but who cares.

You could argue that Kennedy has basically 30 days during the year that he is judged by. Out of those 30 performances, some of them are cakewalks and some are near impossible jobs. Playing a top 10 team in the nation on ESPN would probably be considered one of the toughest jobs he will face this year.... but also possibly his biggest opportunity - it could've been a signature win for this season.

So considering the circumstance, most of us probably wouldn't go out drinking at a college bar less than 20 hours before we've got to put together our best performance possible in front of the nation on ESPN.

As disappointed as we are with Stans recently, I'm at least glad we ain't got to worry about this kind of crap.

read Gary Parrish's entry from a few days ago about this. he tells a story about walking out of a bar at 2am during the last NCAA Tournament and next to him is a coach whose team was playing later that day.
apparently, it is quite common.

however, any coach worth a damn(perhaps even C34 has said this) tells each of his players that nothing good happens after midnight. i cant even count how many times i have heard that thru my life.
one coach used to say that by midnight, if the girl at the bar youve been working isnt going home with you, she wont be going home with you after midnight.

nothing good happens after midnight to athletes. apparently the same can be said for coaches.

Ole Miss has been trying to publically distance itself from the party image. They look retarded trying to make excuses for their head basketball coach and his assistants being out drunk and chasing college tail at one a.m.......whether he actually hit the arab or not is irrelevant.
