Most of them
My biggest concern on Defense has been A) Outside contain - granted they've had some young guys man the position but the DEs have to get better technique and force some plays inside. B) Jones injury was a big hit C) Tackling particularly by DBs (outside of Lausch) has been an issue

And now Lausch is gone from the defensive backfield.

Peter Barounes played QB and DB both ways during Rice's 1985 State Runner Up season. Perhaps Badke rolls the dice?
Tough call. Think they kind of got burned during the Smalling era by having players going both ways, even situationally.

That's a big decision by the coach. Telling your future he's gonna sit.
It sure is, but the kid has to remember he’s only a sophomore. They could put him at other spots and he could still play every down offensively.

He’s pretty much guaranteed to be the qb going forward.

Been saying that since the MC game. I got hammered on this board for mentioning they’d beat Rice if they played again(don’t remember who it was; thread was removed). Rewatching the Saturday Loyola game, I still believe. Marist is very good right now and is going to pose a problem to whoever is in front of them.

I don’t agree that they need to pick a QB and stick with him. They should use whatever QB is best against the defense they’re facing.
The Marist team that Rice best in week 3 is much different than the one of late. Think they would definitely win in a rematch.

Did he against Loyola? You'd think he would be going forward but still nowadays never know how a family will react. Dad being a coach could be like yes that's best for the team and the right decision or they could be steaming.
Either way it worked out and glad for the coach.

I do remember him very well both on the field and off! They don’t build them like we were raised and played anymore! Different games and times I guess. Anyways I think he may throw him back there a few times in certain coverages but not the whole game. I think Somers will make a great DB next year, honestly. He’s an athlete.

I didn’t see the game Saturday, so I’m not sure if he did. But he’s obviously the kind of player you want on the field at any position. I would hope the dad, being a coach, would be okay with the decision, but like you said, you never know. Watching from afar and not a member of the Marist community, my opinion is nothing more than an opinion. But they look like they could make a run.

Would think he could play WR too. He can obviously take a hit.

Saw Badke at 2 grammar school games this past weekend
He’s out and he’s hustling
Trust me

I believe it.

I hope he and BR find away to get him back inhouse.

Lynch is hustling on MC during that 7am-3pm. I have no doubt that impacts game planning, player relationships, staff relationships etc. To compete consistently against MC Loyola Marist Rita you can not have a part time HC.[/QUOTE]

Queenie - where and where did you go to high school?
