I must say, that one annoying WWS golf pro guy said Gianorio's Pizza is Dupage's best thin crust and I hadn't had it. Now I have, and it's the best pie West of Bloomingdale Road for sure. Edging out Pizzeria Antica, although they differ in style some.

The main Gianorio's is in Lombard on Main Street if that helps.

Try the Italian beef and hot giardinera pizza from Gianorio's. Solid.

AL's Pizza in Warrenville is still the best thin crust pie I've had. It's connected to the Town Tap which is a great little neighborhood joint for a beer and a shot or three.

The best, made the same way since 1959. Plus the Towne Tap is like going to Cheers.

My top five pizza

1. Freddy’s - Cicero, the calamari pizza is the greatest

2. Al’s Pizza- Warrenville, greasy thin crust to die for

3. Elio Pizza on Fire- Addison, hand tossed wood fired pizza, so many options to choose from.

4. White Cottage- Woodale, I love the sauce

5. Lou Malanati- I don’t care if it’s a chain it is always delicious,

Special mention
Caputos Grocery store take and bake, I got 3 kids under 6 years old and I can feed them for $8.95 with a pizza that is actually decent.

I’ll make a special trip to Freddy’s because it’s worth it. Nottoli & Son on Belmont, Rex and Tony’s (Edison Park) are Italian delis closer to home and all are excellent.

Anytime is a good time to go to

Agreed. I’ve gone during lunch, dinner and after dinner. Food was fresh and delicious each time which is a victory for any deli to pull off especially towards the end of the evening. Nice work Frankie’s.
