A one-and-done NCAA trip or a deep run in the NIT?

I know what feels better for the pre-tourney wait, but what actually does more good for this young team (especially with Kodi coming on)?

Possibility of home games and higher probability of longer post season practices/play vs NCAA experience hoopla/exposure?

Now, if we win the SEC Tourney, I realize that we all will agree that NCAA is obviously better, but what about what looking at it from here?

I don't think a deep run in the NIT does anything for your team . If you want your guys to get the experience of March Madness they have to play in the Dance. Hell, South Carolina won the NIT one year and everyone said they were primed for a great season the next year because of the experience and they were rewarded with, well, another NIT title. Two years ago we made it to the Garden and did just well enough the next year to play in the 8/9 game. The odds are stacked against us, but I'd rather see this team nut up and win the SEC Tournament and try its luck against 4/5/6 seed in the Big Dance. Playing games at on-campus sites in the NIT doesn't have a big time feel and the same can be said for the Garden unless a local team makes it there.
