Because hes so familiar with that process & the league... So he can sell them on why hes the best option for that introductory year/process...  I dont think however hell last after the first year in the Big12....  I think Houston will be a bottom feeder for the first few years at least.  Out of all the new BIg12 programs, Houston has by far the biggest improvement to make before they are Big12 / P5 ready...If Brown wins less than 7 games this year, I think Shane will still give him 1 more year.  Simply due to his contract buyout, and it would make it easier for us to pay it and find a quality replacement. That said...... Who would you hire to replace Brown?Its not good enough to just fire someone, you need a logical justification to who you could realistically afford to get that would be a better option.Hugh Freeze would probably be my top pick.  As long as our Country Roads Trust could promise $2-3mill+ per year for NIL...  Which I think would be enough to get the base talent needed for Hugh to be successful.</blockquote>
