Which one of these teams is not like the others...It is comical at this point.

I won't believe it until I see it.

They're too good at avoiding consequences. Only a lengthy bowl ban would make any ounce of difference, and I don't see it happening. Nothing the NCAA is doing will stop them from playing the game the way they do.

We've been saying that since Orgeron. Looks like they are fully capable of sustaining it.

Do you think they are getting the most out of their investment?

I mean yeah they beat us twice and beat Bama twice and won a Sugar Bowl. Is that the expected return for the greatest recruiting EVAR?

Of course not. But is that now not the expectation? And so you think they will meet that expectation?
You think this is sustainable?

I don't think they will. I think you will still see the losses to Memphis, to Arkansas and other complete mind farts.

Easy way to make MSU instantly attractive to top recruits

Hire this guy:

Lee Smith
PE/Health - Girls Basketball

"..., he currently serves as the head varsity girls’ basketball coach...." at Briarcrest. Problem solved. It's so easy I can't imagine we didn't already do it!

Does he have gigantic teeth, act like a televangelist and date his players? If not then pass.

Its funny you say that.

in the last two years we are both 19 and 7. We have gone to 1 new years 6 bowl and they have gone to 2. We are 0 and 1 and they are 1 and 1.

If we had recruited like they have, we would be minimum 21 and 5 over that stretch.

They aren't getting the bang for their buck. Its about to catch up.

Considering Ole Miss is 3-1 vs those teams in the last 2 years while LSU is 1-3 and Alabama is 2-3, I'd say that Ole Miss does not belong and should be in a higher class. Good catch. It's comical how you're more concerned about us that the systemic problems in your football program that starts with a HC who doesn't care about recruiting.

Do you really think that if Tee Martin (best recruiter in nation) joined your coaching staff, that would change anything significantly? 1 person cannot recruit an entire team. Employees take on the personality of their boss, and if their boss doesn't give a ****, why should they.

So you honestly, objectively believe that in 2013, Ole Miss, which had sucked and recently hired a complete unknown in the coaching world suddenly became a recruits dreamworld? They finally saw the grove and fair Oxford as all Rebel fans knew that they should? Why, they too could practically hear Vaught coaching up wins with a cream puff schedule and they too wanted to hang their hats on the historical significance of pre-integration success and racial strife. Seriously? That switch just magically flipped? It's a ridiculous supposition and I suspect that most State fans would be perfectly fine with it if their UM friends simply said "We don't get it, but we like it.", as opposed to pretentious and delusional belief that they exude.

PS: Why don't we see/hear about Freeze's concerns and prayers for his player who are sidelined by spice while under his watch? He's all preachy when things are positive, but dead silent when the team loses or when a team member could really use him at their side.

90% of the blue hairs I run into now think Hugh Freeze was one of the 12 disciples so it's not that far fetched.

Your hatred to all things OM won't let you ever be objective and neither will your self-loathing towards MS State. See the Mike Farrell quote in this article. He's the national recruiting director for Rivals and cites to getting Nkemdiche, Treadwell, and Connor...winning with those guys and then them getting to the NFL. If those guys weren't such high profile names, it would not have had as much of an impact.

I have no doubt that if Saban or Harbaugh were in Starkville, they would have tremendous recruiting success. However, I believe that if any other coach than those two were in Oxford, State would never credit give any to their ability to coach and recruit. Part of that is understandable based on OM coaches since JV. One could recruit but not coach (Orgeron); one could coach but not recruit (Cutcliffe); several could do neither. Now that one can seemingly do both, we must be cheating.

yea but at least back In Orgeron days they hung around the fringes and were not making it painfully obvious what was going on.

So Freeze is as good of coach as Saban and Harbaugh. Got it.

Isn't Freeze the only coach (with more than 1 game) that does not have a losing record vs Saban? So, I mean, if the shoe fits, right?

(Maybe that was just of current SEC head coaches. I don't remember where I heard it.)

Too bad UPigg and AU aren't on that list. Is that the "higher class" you speak of?

Another example:

View attachment 3025

In the last 10 years, 7 of these teams have played for a NC, 6 of them winning it. The 8th is the winningest program of all time, the 9th is a perennial power that underachieves. Which of these is not like the other?

You simply can't answer how an unknown coach with a crappy team suddenly signed a top 10 class in 2013. I'm asking for any plausible answer. You write two paragraphs of non-answers. Aren't you the one who wouldn't answer if you actually graduated from Ole Miss?

It's amazing everyone has to lie to themselves. It's like having a drunk relative that nobody will confront.
