I think Relf plays 2 1/2 - 3 quarters and Russell plays the rest.

TRLF (The Real Little Favre, not to be confused with Mike "Little Favre" Henig) gets redshirted. Recall last year, Mullen never gave any indication that Russell was redshirting, not even well into the season.

as a QB?
Why not use him to hold extra points, and the like and possibly be a threat on field goal attempts?
To me this situation is like asking a 40 year old virgin, What are you saving that **** for?

I personally think Favre will be a contributor...this year.

is so that we won't have two senior QB's at the same time. And that goes for really any QB.

I don't like having two scholarship QB's with the same classification if we can help it. What will happen is one or the other will transfer or won't play at all.

Expectation should be that wewill try to sign several QB's that can contibute.
We do not have our Super QB for this offense in house. So everybody else is just there.
Seldom do I disagree with you, but...not now!

You are crazy. Remember we are the same school that started Plump, Fant, Wyatt, Madkin, Morgan, Lee, etc. None could throw worth crap. Then we have the HS state record holder come in and because he's 5'9 he automatically sucks. BS. Those guys listed above couldnt have started on my flag football team while at state.

if you think he will overtake Russell as the back-up before the year ends- otherwise, he needs to RS

down the road. You take a redshirt off of a guy and then you have no QB four years down the road, and you take a year away from him. See Omarr Conner. If he's our QB in 2007, we probably wouldn't have had to be so lucky, and burning his redshirt may very well have cost us a win or two that year.

My opinion has nothing to do with how good or bad that I think Favre is or will be or his height. My opinion has a lot more to do with the fact that I'd rather have Favre as a fifth year senior start five seasons from now as opposed to being forced to start someone that is an underclassman. Especially now that it looks like we may lose Dak Prescott. And especially since I feel that Relf and Tyler as a combo can run our offense efficiently.

QB is the one position that we need to redshirt people and let them learn the offense and develop. Unless we get a Peyton Manning like Tennessee did in 1994.

The only way I would be in favor of burning Favre's redshirt is if Relf and Russell both go down with injuries. And even then, I would strongly consider Bumphis at QB.

I don't think it's right to mortgage the future of the team or run a high risk of ruining a QB so that we can experiment with a freshman QB to "see what he can do or see what happens".

when he was already on his back. The OL then was one of the worst ever.

However, he would take off running very quickly after the snap, at the first sign of any OL breakdown, instead of staying in the pocket and getting the quickpass off right before getting hit. Guess you can put that in the "you can't blame him due to all the other hits he took" category.

Just like most of the interceptions he threw were. He was the world's worst at not knowing when to throw the ball away. He would either hold it too long and take an unnecessarysack or throw a desperation pass into triple coverage. </p>

......if he was not succeeding what seems like, a decade, or sub 6ft QBs. He has the stats, name, and the head coach talking him up. However, after Henig and Lee.......I want to see 6'3 Relf and 6'5" Russell play for a number of years.

In response to the original post..........Relf takes 90% of the snaps. Russell takes the other 10%. Relf is "my boy" for the year. That MF'er is going to break out!!!!

despite playing behind some of the worst OL's in our school's history. And he has the numbers to back it up

We've seen many other QB's produce much, much less on Scott Field than he did when being constantly harassed and beaten like Fant was
