Expectation should be that wewill try to sign several QB's that can contibute.
We do not have our Super QB for this offense in house. So everybody else is just there.
Seldom do I disagree with you, but...not now!
down the road. You take a redshirt off of a guy and then you have no QB four years down the road, and you take a year away from him. See Omarr Conner. If he's our QB in 2007, we probably wouldn't have had to be so lucky, and burning his redshirt may very well have cost us a win or two that year.
My opinion has nothing to do with how good or bad that I think Favre is or will be or his height. My opinion has a lot more to do with the fact that I'd rather have Favre as a fifth year senior start five seasons from now as opposed to being forced to start someone that is an underclassman. Especially now that it looks like we may lose Dak Prescott. And especially since I feel that Relf and Tyler as a combo can run our offense efficiently.
QB is the one position that we need to redshirt people and let them learn the offense and develop. Unless we get a Peyton Manning like Tennessee did in 1994.
The only way I would be in favor of burning Favre's redshirt is if Relf and Russell both go down with injuries. And even then, I would strongly consider Bumphis at QB.
I don't think it's right to mortgage the future of the team or run a high risk of ruining a QB so that we can experiment with a freshman QB to "see what he can do or see what happens".
