If State were able to pull the unthinkable and get an upset from #1 Fla or #2 Bama. Just curious to which you would prefer to happen and reason why.</p>

Oh yes i basically live on the MS/AL line and went to school in AL. SO yeah, I am WELL aware of the fans. In fact, I married a girl that is a big AL fan along with her family... but are really good when it comes to supporting State when we're not playing Bama.

Got to be Bama. Can't stand Satan Saban!!! Plus, I want an SEC team to win the NC so I hate to screw it up for FL. On the other hand, we could beat both and Ole Miss and go bowling.

They're more of a rival for us than Florida.

Plus, Bama gave us Croom.

Florida gave us Mullen.

And I hate to admit this, I kind of like watching Tim Tebow play. Not enough that I hope that we lose to them, or will be pulling for them, and certainly not the way Urban Meyer does, but you have to admit, he is a heck of a player.

Florida fans are douches, but Alabama fans are flat out arrogant. How many times have we had something squirlly happen against Bama? Montgomery's false start in 91? Jay Barker doing something illegal and getting away with it that I can't remember in 1992? The royal screw job in 1999? I don't need to go on.

As a State fan, I have been fortunate enough to have experienced several nice wins over both UF and Bama. I would have to say that I cherish the wins over Bama more.

Not to mention, how many times have we lost a recruit to Bama? It has certainly happened several times.

Ole Miss doesn't play Florida.

And even if you still think that you're going to Atlanta, you already lost to Bama.

Bammers (i.e. that bow tie *** and that douche that was ranting on youtube a few weeks ago) rank highly among the worst groups of people to ever afflict the face of the planet. Somewhere in between the Nazi's and the Taliban. And they're much closer geographically, so we have to put up with their **** constantly.

Having had to live in that state for the last 15 years I have a hate for all things bammer. Neck Bone Ticks is the best way I can put in to words what I think of them.

I thought it was about which team I'd rather see get upset this weekend. And if that's the question, I was answering that I'd rather see SC pull the upset on Bama than Arkansas over Florida.

I pulled a Powe on this one. I hope that makes my original answer make more sense though.

On the actual question, I'd still rather see you pull the upset on Bama than Florida, if I had a choice, simply because of Bama's fans.

The original question is being posed to MState fans only, and the question is asking state fans to tell whether, if they could only have one MISSISSIPPI STATE upset out of the 2 games state plays against Florida and Bama this year, which team do you, as a state fan, want more?

Is that clear enough for you now?

although I think beating Florida would garner more national attention. Alabama doesn't have the national flavor that Florida does, at least currently.

What if we beat Florida using a jump pass? It would be called the upset of the century.
We've beaten Bama 6 of the last 13 years - yes it would be an upset and get a lot of press but would die down quicker.

If its me, I say Bama, but an upset of Florida would do more for the team and university.

Yesterday, sports talk in "Tha Rock" (Bo Mattingly....the biggest homer/*** in all of sports) ask the question on his radio show. Who would the Pig fans rather beat this year, Florida or Ole Miss? OM won by a landslide. Also, I am hearing advertisements for bus trips and etc. to Oxford for the game. Get ready.......they are going to hoof it over in droves next week. I hope y'all beat the shiznit out of them.

'91, '92, '94, and '99 would enjoy nothing more than beating those SOBs when they are on the verge of any kind of title.

Yea, most people don't think about it, but geographically, we're the closest SEC road trip for Arkansas fans. They usually travel well to Oxford because of that anyway. Now with Nutt as our coach I'm sure the lunatic core (it's not just the fringe to me anymore) will be out in full force 8 days from now. It could get ugly between the fans win or lose. It's probably a good thing that it's an 1130 kickoff to limit the alcohol consumption before kickoff.

Yeah, I would say the majority of their fans are still obsessed with Nutt. The talk shows try not let it become a topic of conversation. However, I imagine it will ramp back up next week.

No victory for the Gators in Vegas. Period. One nice little streak we have going. And since we are "wishing", let's go ahead and beat Bama too. I can't stand Bama and I would celebrate beating them even if they were 1-9 coming in.

I live in Naples. Every third person I know down here is a Florida grad. Another third are Ohio State grads and the last third are various Florida or mid-west schools.

I couldn't stand the Bama fans thanking us for knocking off #1 which would allow them to likely slide right in to that spot.

said it perfect. After living in that hell hole for several years it really made me loathe them even more.
Only way I would be more happy to beat them this year would be to see them get hit with the death penalty.

I work in an office in Alabama, so most of the people are Auburn or Alabama fans. The Auburn fans all got engineering degrees from Auburn. The Bama fans either did not go to college or went to a school without a football team. Ironically, the few people I know who did go to Alabama do not really care about the football team. It's sick how devoted some of the Bama fans are. One guy has a big *** picture (we're talking 54" TV size) of Alabama memorabilia in his 6 by 6 cube and he'll leave his cell phone in his cube that plays "Hey Alabama" when someone calls. And that's just the beginning of things.

Bama hands down. It should be interesting to see how we play them this year since this is the first time I can remember a State team that did not have a coach with UA ties. Makes me wonder if we play up against UF b/c of Mullen and his ties there. Either way I am expecting the worst from each game.
