Besides, you just put them on your student account which is a) most likely paid for by mom and dad or b) paid for with student loans. Either way it's cheap as balls.

If you feel the need to get rid of your drink, dump it over your own head. Have at it - I don't care. Otherwise, don't throw anything. Nothing good can possibly come from it.

Again, cups with a little liquid (and only liquid) are one thing. Cups full or ice/dip, plastic bottles, glass bottles, etc are completely ridiculous.

no, you dipshit.... it doesn't matter how "light" you think the item is. It can still harm someone if it hits themthe wrong way. Keep it to your childish self. There is no need to throw things. Grow up. Cheer and be done.

I voted participate, but only because I'm not a liar. I have thrown exactly 2 cups in my tenure at State. One my freshman year against Alabama, when we had the pick six right before half time. And the other last year Against Florida...when we had the pick six right before half time. Usually I'm to cheap to waste good whiskey. If you're sitting in the student section, you will get a little bit wet. As far as throwing bottles and full cups of ice, that is stupid. Im sorry for your wife, and I'm sorry you have a bad taste in your mouth from the students.

But 17 it, I was like 19. I don't think I have done it since then. If you got doused with whiskey during the KP punt return, my apologies. <div>
</div><div>Edited to add: I didn't throw the cup though, just launched the liquid into the air.</div>

I will never forget witnessing Ole Miss fans fling whiskey flasks (glass flasks) into the state section during one egg bowl in Oxford. I actually saw one of them do it - I know who he is and any time anyone asks about the guy I always make sure he carries that label with him. He could have killed someone.

your story makes me feel embarrassed to be a State fan. I sit in the student section and do not throw drinks or anything else nor do I approve those who do for that exact reason. Hate to hear that...

Thanks for posting, and I really hate hearing your story.

Every single person who throws something should be escorted out of the stadium. It's flat out ridiculous, no matter where you sit. Jumping up and down and losing your drink is one thing (azzuri, I've done that too). But flinging a cup or bottle into a group of people is moronic. Legally speaking, the ADept better do something about this.

All i got to say is I see someone throw a bottle, at the very least he is getting thrown out of game. At worst, he is going to jail with quite possibly a *** whopping. You better not throw anything glass where I can see it.
Whether some little punk hits me or not, if I see who threw some **** like that, hedamn well better run......and God forbid if he hits one of my family members.
Some people just don't even have a brain though, because this should not even be an issue. Do the punks actually think that when they let the object fly from up where they are that it's not going to hurt somebody when it hits them? I mean how little sense do you even need!?

The intelligence level some of our students have is scary. The Pikes are the worst. They continuously rang the cowbell the entire game looking like complete douche-bags. Not to mention the hottest girl tagging along with the Pikes had braces. What a joke.

Maybe we need to go have a little talk with the Pikes about cowbell etiquette. I was a Pike back in the day and that embarrasses me to hear that they could actually have something to do with our cowbell being taken away from future games!

in the student section. Some of my favorite memories from Scott Field were highlighted with whiskey showers. As long as it's not some average touchdown, have at it. It's college. It's football. It's alcohol. Make that **** rain.<div>
</div><div>That said, in other parts of the stadium it's pretty lame. Like tearing down the goal posts or something. Grow up, dudes.</div><div>
</div><div>Sucks that people get hurt from time to time, but ya know... **** happens. Cowbells pose much more of a threat than flying cups. As do stairs. And I hear hot dogs and nachos are bad for your heart, so watch out.</div><div>

I saw y'all exiting the field near the locker room and wondered what happened. That really sucks. Hope she's feeling better now.

Please contact Scott Striklin about this. I'll bet he would get the word out that throwing stuff is dangerous.

<div>Similar to what they use at McDonald's. I'm a student and the same type people that throw drinks are the ones refusing to ring responsibly. I guess if we do lose the cowbell, when they're searching for them at the gate they'll be searching hard for whiskey too.</div><div>

That's ridiculous. Whoever the dumb-17 is that did that deserves to have his 17ing head bashed in. Perhaps 5 staples and a permanent scar on that dipshit's forehead would be appropriate. If that was my wife or child I would have lost it. Not only did it ruin what should have been a celebratory night, good luch ever getting her to want to come to another MSU game. I'm so sorry for you.

I'm surprised they haven't done it already.

Holy 17. This might make me rethink the whole cowbell issue too. If our fans can't be trusted with a cup full of ice, what the hell are we thinking letting them in with a metal weapon on a handle?

Just because **** happens, doesn't mean that same **** can't be prevented. Ignorance and stupidity is not a viable excuse for accidents.

You should have to come to section Q, Security look away, get the ever living crap beat out of you (Good ole Boys beat down) and then get escorted out.

There is NO dang point to this!!

as in, I don't throw anything at a game, because I don't want there to be even a chance that I could be responsible for something like what happened to pissedoffdawg's wife. Look, I'm saying I don't care if liquid spills on me...but I understand anyone else who it would piss off...and if any solid object hit me or someone else, I'd be pissed about that as well....but I don't throw anything...ever.

But kids now look for any excuse to toss that stuff in the air. The Alcorn game was not too bad for reasons I think I don't have to put. I'm sure UAB was the same since the students left for the Junction at Halftime.

I can handle them showering everyone after a game-tying/winning TD, but when you throw a cup in the air after a first down orlarge gain from a run I get pretty <17>ing annoyed

Don't throw anything even after a touchdown. Keep your drinks to yourself. No one should have to "wear" your whiskey becuase you were too big an idiot for a night. Like ScoobaDawg said, if you wanna dump it, pour it on yourself. There is absolutely no legitimate reason to dump crap on someone else's head. I am a current student and I am a pastor. It is sad that I go to the game to have a good time, and end up going home smelling like a drunk!!

guess you've never been to a panic show when they drop into a chilly water.

cups, beers, water, etc are flying.

or even a phish show during a "glowstick war"

while, as i said above, i dont agree with it, but you're always gonna have your idiots that have no regard for other people.

Either you are going to get your *** beat, or you're going to have to beat someone's ***. Same thing should go for the stadium. I can understand tossing the last few drops of your drink into the air while holding onto the cup after a huge pick six if you are in the student section. Other sections, nothing should ever be thrown. There is not one are of the stadium where it should ever be even remotely acceptable to throw something solid, even ice.

An MSU football game isn't anything like a Widespread Panic show. And just because someone says Panic sucks (they kind of do), why would you throw out the weak Justin Beiber smack. That didn't make any sense at all.
