Just read the updated forecast discussion and the bread index values may be being pushed a little south now. Wonder if Atlanta will do anything this time around.

Had our bout with it already

Not wishing ill will on our neighbors in north MS, but we're sick of wintry and bone-rattling cold weather down here around Co-Lin. The Wolves played their first baseball game yesterday, losing 10-0 to Miss. Delta (?), but at least it is a sign that spring is forthcoming.

White Death? We don't need no stinkin' white death! About two years the windshield on my Mustang took a minor hit from a small rock, right at the bottom. It grew a crack about two inches long, then stopped - that is until we had the snow/sleet a couple of weeks ago. Now it's grown about a foot, right across my field of vision. With an inspection sticker looming in March I see a bill for a new windshield in my immediate future. Hopefully covered by my comprehensive with a small(er) decuctible.

Tonight at 8:50 I received a call from Entergy

Warning me that I may lose electricity over the next 3 or 4 days, due to weather conditions.

I'm in North Central, Ms...never gotten a call quite like that, it was a recorded message.

Got about a half inch of snow in Grenada. Kind of stopped now. Roads are clear still. Accumulation on the grass and back deck. Temp hovering just above freezing.

I'm in the Augusta area and we're getting pounded pretty bad with ice. Jim Cantore arrived in Augusta last night. That's when you know **** just got real.

Nothing but rain in the Huntsville area. The 11:00 updated forecast says it'll change to snow this afternoon and 5-8" by tomorrow morning, but it looks to me like the system is running out of moisture. I will not be surprised if we get nothing frozen.

University of Mississippi Prevents White Death Saving MS from Impending Doom

A team of Black Bear Medical Research employees after countless hours of research determined raising the temperature would prevent the impending snow apocalypse also referred to by many as White Death. The Black Bear supporters began talking smack in the early fall and during the winter recruiting period creating a plethora of hot air. It was discovered that all this hot air was the direct cause of raising the winter temperatures and preventing White Death from infiltrating the state.

Lead researcher Dr. D.D. Cockgobbler stated "The book farmers throughout the great state of MS owe us a huge debt of appreciation for saving their catfish harvest and crops from the White Death. The White Death doesn't affect the Black Bear population due to owning an assortment of winter North Face fleece coats and Yeti coolers that prevent food spoilage for up to 5-7 days both available at Reed's. This discovery is not as important as Ole Miss curing AIDS, but it is very important to the people of the state who are less fortunate that us. We will continue to talk **** for the good of the common man throughout the State. Hotty Totty."

Changed to snow here around 4 this afternoon and now we have several inches and it's still pouring down. You'll probably go in late tomorrow at the least. It's supposed to warm up a lot so it'll melt in a hurry.
