Did you watch the presser? Spicer cited a report along with a dozen other reports.
So, the White House Press Secretary doesn't hold more international weight than a Fox News commentator? I guess we just want to downgrade everything about the Exectutive branch until people hold it in the same regard as a hollywood tabloid?

Fox News and Breitbart.....the new propaganda wing of the GOP. The sad thing is, about 40% of the country actually believes what these schlock "news" organizations report. We are a nation full of idiots.

Truly embarrassing. This crew is incompetent. They continue to act like they are governing 40% of the country and to hell with everyone else. Our standing in the world has taken a severe hit. What a bunch of paranoid idiots.
Knowing his approval is low, and his agenda is unfavored by so many, I wonder how congress will respond, knowing that supporting him may have election consequences.

For at least the next two years, here’s what you can expect…

First let me say that even though I find Trump to be a distasteful individual, egomaniacal paranoid habitual liar, I had hope that somehow the tiger would change its stripes and become somewhat “Presidential” once in office. From a policy standpoint, there is much I can agree with. However, there is just as much that I do not agree with, but that’s typical of most presidents in my life time. It’s about a 50/50 split on what you get when someone takes office.

I was not a Hillary supporter at all. As I have stated before I align more closely with Libertarian views and have voted as such in the last seven presidential elections. The last mainstream candidate I voted for was George H.W. Bush. I wonder how things would be different today had he won a second term?

Even though there has been no proof what-so-ever that Trump’s claim of “wire-tapping”/surveillance of him or his campaign at Trump Tower, the Trump Machine is in high-gear making up new reasons why the original accusation is true. When the GCHQ/British excuse burned to the ground much “walking-back”, blame identification, “Deep State” conspiracy has arisen. Trump now even blames the New York Times because they wrote the original story that started the tweet escapade from Trump that started it all. Never mind that the NYT is “fake news”, it’s all their fault.

Now that it has been proven 100% that former President Obama did not spy on president-elect or President Trump at Trump Tower, here’s what you can expect over the next two years remaining in the Trump presidency.

The official news sources of the Trump White House will be FOX News, Independent Journal Review, Newsmax.com, Breitbart.com (the actual official WH mouth-piece), Townhall.com and Redstate.com. All can be considered “infotainment” agencies as there is no real hard news reporting done at any of these outlets. Fox News's editorial policy is set from the top down in the form of a daily memo which contains hints, suggestions and directives on how to slant the day's news—invariably in a way that's consistent with the politics and desires of Republican/conservative policies and administrations. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Media_bias_in_the_United_States

“Let's be clear about this. One alleged news network fed its audience a diet of lies, while contributing financially to the party that benefited from those lies. Those who work for Fox News are not working for a journalistic enterprise. They are working for the communications department of a political party. And that's a fact.” -The Atlantic, 12/17/10 - https://www.theatlantic.com/daily-dish/archive/2010/12/the-propaganda-channel/178383/ And nothing has changed since then.

So “the enemy of the people” is ABC News, CBS News, NBC News, MSNBC, CNN, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Bloomberg, CNBC, Newsweek, US News, Time, The LA Times, The San Francisco Chronicle, PBS, Vanity Fair, Glamour, Scientific American and a host of others. Are they without sin and able to cast the first stone? No, and no one is claiming that, except that the Trump administration claims they are all biased and report “fake news” (don’t create the glass house then). A reasonable American would read or view one or more of these sources and can weed the opinion/supposition from the hard news content. One might think the same from one of the WH mouthpieces, except that their viewer/readership has already made up their mind and are only looking for support as they are affinity networks.

As more and more wild accusations and flat out lies from the Trump administration get shot down you can expect more and more diversions to direct the glare of the spot light to another area. One may wonder how many battle fronts Sean Spicer can keep going at once? Kellyanne Conway may get more face time as it becomes more and more difficult to deflect attention from one bizarre claim to another. I look for one of their heads to explode in the coming months as the pressure continues to build; especially Spicer. He already looks like a guy who is wound a little too tight from the start. They’ll either take him away from the WH in a strait jacket, drooling down the hallway or he will resign right before and announce that he is taking an extended vacation to spend more time with family. Kellyanne Conway will take an unexpected maternity leave, love-child of Steve Bannon, who will also resign to spend more time with his new family. (Please note this is an attempt at humor to describe the tense situations boiling within the WH staff.)

More and more Executive Orders will get derailed by (pick one) Congress, the Judiciary or individual departments. Blame will be levied against the offender in question, never admitting that something done in the EO was flawed, ill-advised or just too stupid to be the actual issue. The same will occur with proposed legislation; ill-conceived and too drastic or developed in a vacuum without Congressional input. Whatever happened to working with both parties in the best interest of America? Blame will be laid at the feet of the Democrats (most of the time), RINOs in opposition, the media (again?) and Obama; although I’m not sure how this will work.

Trump and his henchmen will continue to be investigated; sometimes because something ridiculous said will lead to another investigation, the comment back-firing and leading back to the administration. Eventually one of these investigations will find some valid issues regarding Trump, members of Trump’s inner-circle, Cabinet members or high-ranking staffers. Resignations will follow; with blame being again levied at: the media (always a favorite), Deep State, Dems, leaks, etc. (too numerous to mention). As the pressure mounts and the dogs nip closer at Trumps heels even the most loyal supporters in Congress will begin to back away; led by the ones up for election in 2018. Then the support of the public will begin to erode, the forbearer of potential devastating losses in the mid-term election cycle.

Once the final investigations show that there is some major issue with the Trump presidency and as efforts for impeachment begin to gain traction, Trump will take his ball and go home to New York City or Florida stating that his presidency was doomed from the start, undermined by the media (one last time), the Deep State, Dems, Obama, etc. This final curtain closing and as President Pence is sworn in he already knows that he won’t be running in 2020, leaving the gates open for some new turn of events for the next election. The swearing-in will also signal the official start to the 2020 campaign season.

This also signals that I have had it with the Trump presidency, the hypocrisy becoming too much to bear as I feel we have come full-circle in a very short period now that the New York Times has become so trusted that it would cause a sitting president to make felonious charges against a former president. Everything being revealed as lies and the blame game starting anew.

I’m done with this!

There is no relationship between the facts I notes and the conclusion you seemed to draw.

The White House amplifies anything they acknowledge. By reading that report in a White House press briefing, Spicer automatically lends credibility to the assertions in the report. Spicer, Trump, and anyone that speaks for the executive branch needs to be certain of facts prior to perpetuating theories or assertions, especially in regards to issues involving the actions of foreign states and allies. If we allow this type of "shoot from the hip" attitude, which is immature and irresponsible masquerading as transparent, we will allow the deterioration of the White House into a foundationless platform for the same bs we are forced to decipher through in the media daily.
