Help me out, because I don't feel like reading too much today. But, is the government wanting names, social security numbers, voting history, etc.???
Name and address only. Anybody can acquire voting rolls. That's how they know where to send campaign ads. It's easier to acquire rolls for a mayoral or gubernatorial campaign, but we''re talking Nationwide here. A little assistance would be nice. Dims are refusing in cases where they control precincts. Why? Not a good look.Help me out, because I don't feel like reading too much today. But, is the government wanting names, social security numbers, voting history, etc.???
The second sentence is contrary to what I heard from Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach's mouth.Ok, I quickly Googled the request and came across this......so is this "fake"?
The Presidential Commission on Voter Integrity sent what some experts called an alarming letter this week to all 50 states and Washington, D.C., asking officials, including those in the home states of the panel's chairs, to turn over "publicly-available voter roll data."
However, the panel is also seeking sensitive information, including "dates of birth, political party (if recorded in your state), last four digits of social security number if available, voter history (elections voted in) from 2006 onward, active/inactive status, cancelled status, information regarding any felony convictions, information regarding voter registration in another state, information regarding military status, and overseas citizen information."

Who's more credible, the politician or whatever publication you cut and pasted? Tough call.
What Secretaries of State? WTF are you talking about, a portion of the unidentified article that you DIDN'T paste? So, the secretary of state's from those not agreeing to do this are lying? This sounds a lot like "Big Government" if you ask me.......something that Republicans strongly opposed.
Oh looky.....the board kook is on another rant. So, the secretary of state's from those not agreeing to do this are lying? This sounds a lot like "Big Government" if you ask me.......something that Republicans strongly opposed.

Ok crazy. Now go eat your veggies. But Federal Government asking for that information = Big Government..........[eyeroll].........overstepping it's Constitutional bounds.
Why do they need to know all my secure information? My voting tendencies? Are we going to start voting with people watching over our shoulders.......
I just repeated what the guy said.First off, you said that Kansas Sec. of State's statement didn't lead you to believe they would want the information I provided from my article I found. Here's something I found:
Sorry about that.I don't feel like reading too much today
I blame black people. But Federal Government asking for that information = Big Government..........[eyeroll].........overstepping it's Constitutional bounds.

Oh please. It doesn't seem like most states are complying with this request. Commission is just to create a "problem" where one doesn't exist, so that the voting pool can be thinned of people that make several states harder to win.

It is hard to justify ones faux outrage over Russian interference in our elections if one opposes if you dont support the effort to stop any potential avenues for actual vote fraud.
The state of WV has temoved almost 100k names from voter roles in the past months.
Obviously each state needs to track it. This commission is keeping track of what the states are doing. The feds cannot cleanse state voter roles, only the states can do so by their own constitutional means. Each state needs to tackle it, I think Trump is trying to determine a standard way to approach it.
Yep, this can has been opened , now we're going to see what's inside. It is hard to justify ones faux outrage over Russian interference in our elections if one opposes if you dont support the effort to stop any potential avenues for actual vote fraud.

There is nothing unconstitutional here crazy crazy.Big problem......the Constitution DOES NOT ALLOW HIM to do so............I thought Republicans loved and respected the Constitution?![]()

So you basically just admitted you are a liar. What a damn fool. Not YET.......but if Trump were to attempt to "force" state to comply, then yes.......

You should definitely join a lawsuit against the WV SOS for doing his job. You are that stupid. This post is accurate. If there is a class action law suit against the WV SOS, I'll be joining.
22 states have said "go f'uck yourself."
Hoo ray federalism, amirite? Each state needs to tackle it, I think Trump is trying to determine a standard way to approach it.
If a problem doesnt exist why are states cleansing voter rolls by the tens of thousands? There are a lot of problems with our voter registration. If everyone is truly concerned with insuring against voter fraud why give anyone a means to perform it.True.
It's just lazy book keeping, IMO. Good they purge the rolls, but they're on there because it wasn't a threat. If a problem doesnt exist why are states cleansing voter rolls by the tens of thousands? Dead people don't vote. Is there evidence to the contrary? They are there because it isnt a threat?
I mean besides Trump's tweets?Dead people don't vote. Is there evidence to the contrary?

There is plenty of evidence of people using names on voter rolls that didnt belong there. Can you provide evidence to the contrary?Dead people don't vote. Is there evidence to the contrary?
Or some people can actually use more tha .05% of their brain and can recognize more than 1 problem at a time. Time to take your meds again oldfart. If you put fear in the minds of people about things that are not a real threat or problem, they ignore the real problems long enough.........[thumbsup]
