Who are you pulling for in Army/Navy?

Maybe I'm the only one who likes this game. I don't know.

But I'll be pulling for Army. My Dad almost played baseball and maybe football there. So there you go.

I think it's kind of cool that there is actually something riding on this game other than pride, because if Army wins, they get to go to a bowl game. They also have not beaten Navy in awhile- I think almost ten years now.

I'll now give the corny speech about the players being "everything that is right about college football, and are there not to get into the NFL, but are there to serve their country and for academics." It does make for a good football game in theory at least. And that's why I like it- hoping for a good football game.

I will say that the cool thing about the game to me is the fact that you may be a MSU fan or an Ole Miss fan or an Alabama fan, and on that one day you root for either Army or Navy. To me, that's the coolest thing about it. And the cheesy videos that the soldiers make that are a little humorous.

I live with a boat schooler and recently had a class with Navy's former running back Cambell. Good guy.
I agree, this is a fun game to watch.

We have Marines in my family. No Army guys. So, we tend to pull for Navy.

just because I have a friend who is about to head out to begin the Navy officer training program. And like hatfield said, a good, close game would be ideal.

My dad was a navy midshipmen. He also received a purple heart after a Kamakazi hit his ship. Unbelievable honor in this game.

I'm an Army National Guard veteran. However, my dad is a retired Marine (Marines are a sub-Department of the Navy), while the greatest quarterback of all time played for Navy.

I wished they'd both win the game, then as officers go out and win the game "Cowboys and Terrorists".

We are not a part of the Navy. We are in the Department of the Navy. The Navy is also in the Department of the Navy. Yea, weird I know.

Edited to add that there are PLENTY of Marines or soon to be Marines on Navy's team.

I pull for the underdog. Plus I want to see the celebration when Army finally breaks the streak. I enjoy watching this game every year. It's like a relegation scrap at the bottom of the table in the Premier League. Whether the teams are "good" or not is beside the point in this game. Every player on the field is 100% committed and it makes for great viewing.

I'd rather see the Air Force win the Commander-in-Chief's Trophy, which I know is not going to happen this year. But at least they won't lose it, either.

Probably the only civilian. They play this up like its the Sugar Bowl. I can't see it mattering to anybody except only casually. And by casually, I mean people who are are or were in the Army or Navy have mediocre interest in the game.

That the Marines do not have any equipment. They use all Navy equipment.

Marines like those Navy boys.

Whenever Marines have to go fight, the Navy always gives them a ride.

That's about all they are good for - transport.

Gotta go with Navy . My grandfather met my grandmother while stationed in Jacksonville. I guess I can thank the Navy for my existence.

1) Navy rings cowbells. Not as cool as ours. 2) Marine mascot is "Chesty" the bulldog. He looks more like UGA but (17) it. He's still a bulldog!
