Tough regional... How can C. Arkansas be a 4? Their ace is bonafide. The 2 and 3 are strong. Just a tough draw, period.

I looked at it as proof that the committee didn't put much emphasis on conferance tournament play. Truthfully, we were probably one of the last host spots, and the committee treated us as such.

Oh well, just happy to be in this spot. I think the crowd at DNF could bother the other teams. Other than CA @ MSU, I'd be surprised if any of our teams had played infront of more than 2K or 3K fans (atual attendance).

Ron Polk, Larry Templeton, Mike Bianco, Kevin O'Sullivan, Paul Manieri, the fans with box seats by the dugout that don't like our coaches yelling, Tommy Raffo...

Now for my serious response

When you are in the postseason, you have to beat good people period. Even if they are not a big name school. And it doesn't really matter what level of baseball you are at- you are not going to get the Houston Astros as your opponent in the World Series, we're not going to get a regional with Jackson State, Alcorn, and Valley in it, and if you are a 6A team in Mississippi, you are not going to get to play Jim Hill in the State Championship game.

Actually, I think the fact that Central Arkansas beat us two out of three may be a blessing in disguise because now there is pretty much no way our team is going to overlook them. Plus, we're familiar with all of the teams in our regional, which means we know a little bit about how they are going to attack us. And yes, they have some scouting reports on us as well, but I think when your team has more talent, and you can take away that element of surprise, it tips the scales in your favor.

Plus, Central Arkansas hasn't seen Pollorena yet.

Seeds 9-16 are not numbered or have any real order. Geography and conference alignment has more to do with the arrangement of those seeds than the numbering of seeds. If what you are saying held true, South Carolina would be across from vandy and they have already played once this year.

There comes a point in post season play where you just have to sack up and beat good teams. I'd rather have these teams than a team like Clemson. G-Tech, or Miami in my regional. These teams have been here many times before and are used to playing in front of large crowds.

Exactly. I'd rather have tough #3 and #4 seeds than a tough #2 seed. This is a very manageable regional. Really, about as good as we could have hoped for other than getting Jackson St. as the #4.
