Who do we have a better chance of beating?

Florida or Bama?

The case for both:

Florida- Mullen knows their offense, Meyer's tendancies, and the players very well. They have looked sluggish since Tebow had his concussion, and could be ripe for an upset on the road.

Alabama- They have a more conventional offense, which Torbush seems to be better at stopping, and Saban has had a lot of difficulty stopping a Urban Meyer style spread offense in the past- only losses were to UF and Utah last year.

I'm going to go with Bama.

Given Alabama's run defense and our lack of any semblance of a vertical threat in the passing game, we probably don't score very many points on them at all. At least with Florida, Mullen knows their offense and our team will probably be more fired up for the Gators than any other game this year; a few early Florida turnovers and who knows. It's going to take nothing short of a miracle to beat either team.

both of them are hell, but having an off week to get ready for Bammer will help alot...we play the run pretty well, and Mullen will have a surprise or two for Saban

I forgot about the off week.

Give Mullen two weeks to game plan, and there's no telling what he will come up with.

Not to mention that Bama has LSU before us in Tuscaloosa.

.......every day of those two weeks to figure out how to move the ball against that Bama defense. Whatever he does, he needs to make sure the ball leaves Tyson Lee's hands as quickly as possible. If we're able to move the ball and score, we have a legit shot. That, and making sure Ingram doesn't run for 300.

Here's why:

1) It's not so much that Mullen knows UF's system/playbook. He knows how Tebow thinks, and thus how to get into his head...what will rattle him.

2) Julio Jones has been so unheard from this year, he's practically at Random ******* status.

They just look more beatable now. I dont think we can stop Ingram. I feel like we can stop UF running game and force passing which may or may not be a blessing. But, that does put us in a better position for turnovers, which Tebow and Ingram will not commit running the ball

We have no shot vs. Bama because their RBs are clones of Auburn's except better. Our worst defensive games this year are against teams with a strong running attack.

Auburn's scheme and Bammer's are world's apart as well. We havent sat back back and taken it like we did vs Auburn- we are forcing the action more. Chaney and White are playing much better since the beginning of the season as well- and thats huge

compare schedules when you just agreed with me in this thread that we're 4th in the SEC against the run.

The stats say Florida runs the ball better than Bama.

I say Florida will have more rushing yards against us than Bama.

because Bammer is running it with more yards per carry in SEC play than Fla is- Fla has struggled to run the ball the last 2 games against LSU and UPig- people see they dont have the weapons at WR they have had and making it tougher to run for them

I think we will stuff them a good bit Saturday- but give up some big plays in the passing game to lose it...Bammer has the better run game, but they have Julio Jones and can throw it a little better to loosen the D

and Fla doesnt have a Julio Jones

They have struggled mightily against LSU(whom the Sixpack says is about to be fired any day now) and UPig...while Bammer has rolled up the yards on Mississippi and SC...

Our defense is as good as UPig's for sure, and maybe as good as SC's. We will play them both tough- and having an extra week to get ready for Bammer, with them coming off an emotional LSU game will help us keep it close
