Whoever it is I hope they use a lot of pitching. We have beaten both teams but I think you have to look at it not from who are we most likely to beat on Friday but who is less likely to beat us twice. I would rather face a tougher pitcher on Friday from a team that does not have as much left after him that a team that might have more arms behind their Friday guy. I think the team we want is Indiana. Plus OSU's coach has been here before. He has more savvy on how to manage this situation than Indy who's brand new to this.

Who knows. I was under the impression that the strength of OSU's staff was those three starting pitchers. I would think we wouldn't be facing any of those three. That makes it pretty attractive to me.

I just don't want to face Indiana's LHers w/o Girodo. I know Ross has been great as well, but CG is the guy against them. He's a swing and miss guy, and they still got good contact against him.

Both teams can hit the ball well, I really don't relish facing those OSU hitters again.

That last game my Giradoes were in a knot every time those guys were at bat.

I don't know that it matters a whole lot how much pitching the winner has to use tonight. They've got a day off tomorrow so they should have most everyone available for Friday, including last Saturday's starter. I'm not a fan of this format with so many days off. They should play both loser's bracket games today and then both bracket finals Thursday, with a 2nd game Friday if needed.

Indiana. Less pitching depth. They will probably start their ace tonight and then bring back the guy who started the Louisville game to face us on Friday. He threw 130+ pitches.

I'm wondering if the 6'11" guy for Indiana might be hurt. No reason for them not to pitch him against us. I guess we'll find out tonight. But to me, DeNato is their ace.

I think I heard the guys on the post game show say they'll pitch him tonight.

I have heard the same thing today. It basically comes down to this. We started with 64 teams. We will be down to 4 by the time we take teh field again. All of the riff raff, just happy to be here teams, have long since been sent packing. There are no easy teams left. We will have to bring our A game to advance to the finals no matter who it is. It seems every pitcher we go up against has a 10-1 record with a 1.54 ERA. I just know I want the thing over with Friday. These teams are good enough for me to not want to have to face them more than necessary. Let's get this next win and get ready for the final series for all the marbles.

If we win the whole thing I hope our AD puts out a poster with the championship trophy with the slogan, "Our national title trophies don't have to be photoshopped."
