I believe in the scientists. Yes tthey have guesses but they know something about what they guess.
Others sepculate and they have no basis for their speculations.
most bitches are from people not getting happy right now.
I believe in my own thoughts on preservation. I would bet, I will be here when this is over. Really, hope you are too!
Who do you put your life trust to?

The multiple doctors I work with plus, and as you said, myself, because I'm a respiratory therapist. Scientists as well. Def not politicians.

I’m skeptical of anyone in the media and politics. Too many have agendas and have turned this into a political football. Imagine that during an election year. I’ve got a cousin that’s an anesthesiologist and our neighbor next door is nurse. So I tend to listen to them.

Remember, the flat earth society believes the virus is from outer space. Since I have worked in Wuhan and been and seen what goes on in these wet markets, eventually they will produce something that can’t be cured. However they have beautiful women like no other city in China. Big French influence in Wuhan.

Is that why the "scientists" have bounced around on theories of what we should be doing like a rubber ball, and these big state governors (mayors) have lost their minds with playing dictators. The Chinese are laughing their asses off at the USA. They have gotten out of this exactly what they wanted !

I’d believe science but we don’t have it yet. If we knew the real number infected it could change everything. What if the death rate is on par with flu? It very well might be. I don’t ever watch cnn, fox or any others. All political

Science has been proven wrong more often than proven right. So far all the models on this thing have been so far off, they are not worth paying attention to. Climate change scientists told us Miami would be under water by now. Believe them at your own peril.
Got to be the dumbest post I have ever read on any message board. You made the **** up about Miami, nobody ever said they would be underwater.
I will go with science over Dr. Trump aka self proclaimed genius every time.
Believe in him at your own peril.

My damn self. I stay a distance away from other people, do not go where there are high risk potential, hang out in crowds, wash my hands frequently, spray disinfectant, wear a mask when needed at work and out and about. It is real, I neither go over board and think "OMG I am going to die", but i also do not take it lightly and just throw caution to the wind.

So pretty much I practice cautiously optimistic.

Realistically this is about the best you can do with the information that is available. I’ve got the same approach. Minimize risk and be smart when dealing with public spaces.

I'm still surprised at the number of people that can't weed out anecdotal evidence. A flea on a dog thinks all of existence is covered in hair and smells like crap.

I will trust science, and in times like this, the CDC specifically.

They don’t weed it out. They seek it out.

Imagine a virus that can come to the grocery store with you, on the bags you bring from home, but the same viruses don't come on the clothes you brought from home......because the virus only likes old grocery bags and not clothing.

A virus so smart it will only attack people in non essential businesses and waits until a group is 10 or more.......and then it strikes. If there is a group of nine it waits for the 10th to enter....and then the attack begins.

A virus unable to attack in liquor stores but will definitely kill everyone at the gym. Imagine a virus so deadly that it can be killed with soap and water.

Imagine a virus that can't jump 3 feet over glass at the grocery store but could kill everyone at the fitness club.....but will in no way kill anyone buying booze, smokes, weed or fast food.

Imagine a virus that doesn't infect children but does infect old people because it can think and obviously can assess age before it strikes. Imagine a virus that can kill at less than 6 feet, not 7, not 8....6.

Imagine a virus infecting everyone on TV but infecting no one you know personally......unless you're on Facebook and then someone you don't know, knows another person you don't know, who knows a friend of Aunt Betty, who had the virus.

Imagine a virus so deadly, hospitals are laying off nurses and closing entire floors...just to stay open.

Imagine a virus so smart that it knows not to infect government officials as they're signing government legislation regarding the virus killing everyone instantly at distances closer than 6 feet.

Imagine a virus understanding that it can only kill the public and not the politicians who huddle together shoulder to shoulder in front of the cameras. Kill the public and leave the people in government alone.

Imagine a virus that only infects non communist countries because it can see borders with its special glasses. This virus is really something.

Imagine a virus that's supposed to be airborne but doesn't come out the sides of any mask because the mask is magic like that. The virus being so smart it knows to stay inside the mask and not leak out the sides of the mask with the rest of the air.

And if the masks work at blocking the virus, why can't we go back to work wearing masks and if they don't work....why are we wearing them?

Imagine a virus so smart that it will kill you instantly at the park, beach the ocean or on the bike path as you exercise (with no one else around you for miles) but will leave you alone at all essential businesses.

Imagine a virus so deadly and so lethal that the only way to protect yourself from it, is to inject it under your skin.

Now imagine a person who can't figure any of this out. Then you can see that it's a completely illegitimate extortion scheme

I’m a pharmacist and I trust none of them — because there is no consensus - none . The experts are close to laughable . Models were a joke .. try googling “ can you be reinfected with Covid “ answers from experts all over the map . The correct answer is “ no one “ . The WHO is a joke .. the CDC played games with the numbers .

I love how people have simply deified the generic term "science." I believe "science." That doesn't even mean anything. There are specific virologists whose models have been way off, including within the CDC itself and then there are other epidemiologists who seem to have hit the nail on the head from the beginning regarding the threat to the elderly and infirmed.

There hasn't been one uniform opinion from "science."

Im just glad to see the winds shifting towards more and more pushback.

The risk of dying from this is miniscule for almost everyone. If youre in a high risk category then do what you need to do. For the other 99.85% of us, its time to resume normalcy.

How is it that after all we’ve learned over the last 4 months, we still have people changing the subject by talking about risk factors, infection rates and death rates?

Who can you trust? Scientists keep proving yesterday's info false. I don't particularly trust politicians.

I guess I trust the numbers of dead. I trust that this virus is mainly dangerous to the elderly and at-risk. It's a super flu.

If I had to pick an actual person. Nate Silver is pretty reliable.
