Who does Shane fire after the A&M game?

Same but I still have my doubts he can do it. I'd love to be proven wrong though.
In my honest and logical opinion, the A&M game will not be about winning or losing...

We're going to lose.

It's now a matter of do we show a pulse and fight or lay down? If we fight the whole game, Beamer still has control of the team. If we lay down and look ridiculous like we're not even trying, it's over already. That will be the key IMHO. Do we fight or not? I know people may not want to hear that, but there is a ton of truth in what I just stated. Only time will tell.

I agree. If we look like crap with guys acting lazy and uninspired on and off the field then it is over. We will probably lose to Coastal too.

The running backs
I have an idea for the offense...

Break the huddle, come up to the line of scrimmage and everyone stand in place, upright...then turn around facing away from the LOS, then get in their stances and snap the ball.

Why? Because we seem to be more effective going backwards.
Why does Clayton White get a pass. This is an underperforming Defensive Unit.

For the life of me, I don't know why we don't go up tempo. We have some pretty good athletes on offense and we know we can't block at all. I don't know why we constantly try the dropback pass because we never have more than 1 1/2-2 seconds before the defense is all over LaNorris.

Tx am game doesn’t matter. We need to focus all our efforts on the Clemson game. That’s the only win that will ease the pain of this season
I'm not putting much stock in the A&M game (I'd love to see improvement in areas) as I'm expecting a rout and I don't really expect Shane to fire anyone after but it seems like after every embarrassing loss in the past month he cans someone so I thought I'd pose the question to pass the time.

Hoping for a good game.
Also Hoping that Beamer figures it out and becomes a great coach. That is what's best for the program.
I find the prospect of SB finally figuring things our in the 10th game of the season extremely disappointing and discouraging.

My question is if we lose out will Shane be let go?
I doubt it, too many job openings at much more desirable programs to hire a better replacement. That, combined with the buyout, means he is safe for this year.

He would have to win at least 8 games next season to not be fired. Hiring an OC would be extremely difficult.

8 wins? He will be safe with 7 if he beats Clempson

They are on a roll. Won 4 in a row and scored 40+ in their last 3. They will likely be 7-3 when they come into WB and they will not intimidated. They will absolutely be coming in EXPECTING to win.

Who's to say there won't be as many let go next season? It seems to be the trend now.

You’ll make them mad if you don’t let them talk to each other unabated, as demonstrated. Their board presence revolves around firings and feelings; don’t feel good, fire someone. Second verse, same as the first.

Aside from that, welcome aboard! You were accused of being ‘Cobie’ and trust me, that’s a good thing. Should be a badge for that.

Lmao

The hurt feelings club has arrived. Show us on the doll where these mean posters touched you.

"Welcome aboard".... to someone who joined the board almost 20 years ago. Classic.

The only one I can think of right now that is in danger for next year is Venables.

Yes, but many of the names fired, or about to be weren't known last year at this time.

Each year, there will be a crop of firings. I dont think that should be a reason to hold off on a change.

If anything, he's one year removed from a great year. That should be the argument.

The reality of the "great year" last year is that it was a combination of some opponents not being nearly as good as their reputations made them seem and some incredible luck. Last year should have been a 7-5 season, which would have been good by South Carolina standards.

Still, he will get the benefit of the 2024 record. All of the names fired from the big programs were already being talked about as not living up to expectations when this season started. I think Venables and Riley are the two that are going to be on the clock, so to speak, starting next season. UK is sick of Stoops and he is sick of UK but money is going to keep that marriage together.

We did take advantage of some teams' failings in 24. It could have gone better or worse.

I just think if we're arguing about retaining Shane, the top argument should be last season. Not that there are too many other openings. I think there will always be a wave of openings.

For all intents and purposes, kidrobinski and Colbie are one and the same.

He does seem REALLY upset about Colbie's absence.

After all the fake poster nonsense, it would be completely ironic, and a little funny, if those two really were the same guy.

We can't do that because the defense will only be off the field for a minute.
