What is happening is many in Black America has an opinion that is in direct conflict with the party tent as they try and hoard all minorities together for one massive voter bloc. See the polling showing Latinos and Black America diversifying. I am under no illusions about the state of Capitalism in the United States my friend.
I am compensated rather well for my place in society. I do my job, I do it well and I go home.
but then you know what I do? I take that money and go out in my community and try to make a difference using it and my time. I try to do good.
I know I’m playing the game but if they use me I’m going to use what they give me right back to effect some sort of good in the world.
Employees often put their employers in a bad spot. You’re representing your employer even when not directly doing so, especially if you’re famous. The public will automatically associate you with your employer, whether fair or not. As a result, things you say can negatively impact the employer’s business. If I owned a small business, I sure as hell would not hire (or keep if already employed) a person that espoused the beliefs of or claimed to be a member of the KKK, BLM, Antifa, etc. either online or in person.
so basically it will be things that you or your side deem wrong that should be censored, but me and others like me have a distorted view of what “free” speech is. I never thought I’d live in an America where fundamental rights are being eroded by people so willingly.

Reading between the lines a bit, it seems like it's more personal for you, at least to a degree. It certainly doesn't seem that a reasonable person would believe she should be jailed for 9 years in a Russian prison work camp, simply because she had less than a gram of hash oil.
You also mention she has been playing in Russia for years. So it’s very likely she had been taking the same substance with her for years without issue, thinking it wasn't a big issue. Particularly with seeing how it wasn't until she became a convenient political prisoner.
I think you and others may see it as retribution for comments she made that you disagreed with. However, that would obviously go against the very idea of freedom of speech and wouldn't be something you're likely to wilfully admit to.
It also comes across as you have more sympathy for a fascist dictator and the laws of a corrupt nation than an American.
