Usually every year I'm one of those holding on to every thread and rumor floating around, but this year the straight hilarity of it all has made it easy to walk away from. Maybe it's me being an MSU homer, but really if these kids want to throw their careers down the toilet, so be it. I'm not trying to say just because you go up north that automatically you're going to suck or that if you come to State you're an automatic first rounder, but it's so easy to see where things are going in my opinion.

Look at TSUN for a minute. Sure they offer early playing time, because their team lost a large number off a two-deep that would have had trouble making it past the second round playoff game in a rural area pop Warner league. But hey, I forgot, every 18 year old is ready to compete in the SEC after one summer of workouts. Secondly, let's not forget about Houston Nutt and his unbelievable ability to coach, sell snake oil, and give some heppin. Never mind the fact that he took the 2009 Heisman front runner and only won 4 games with him in 2010, or that he slowly worked Jevan Sneed from a high profile Texas Quarterback to a **** scooping cow-hand. But have faith webel army and skill position recruits, in 2011 expect big things in the northern territory when it comes time to find someone to throw you the ball, cause your QB depth chart, while heavy in numbers of physical bodies, has about as much experience on the field as the rebel baseball team has going to Omaha in the last 30 years. Ah, and then the fan support….. Now recruits, as you go on your visits, hear tales of glory, have Scott Lindsey drive you around the country-side or have the twirler deliver casket money to your panty drawer as he shows you bogus post from message boards, ask yourself this. Do I really want to go to a school where fans care about the game or just whether or not their bloody-mary matches their underwear? Does it matter that STATE has had two sellout seasons, fans don’t leave the game at halftime, played on ESPN primetime on countless occasions, dominated the every in-state school on the field, set two records for spring game attendance, have coaches get hired away for being great assistances, not fired for being worthless, New Year’s day blowout over the country’s most historic program, a coach that ACTUALLY turned down MIAMI and FLORIDA. Oh well, I get it if you want to go up north, I’m not mad at you or neither are any other State fan’s, we were just trying to save you the pain of sitting out a year due to transferring or playing at EMCC (i.e. Pat Patterson). But hey, I’m sure everything will work out just the way Nutt has told you, Pat, Tig, Nick Parker, Raymond Cotton, Eason, Masoli(Not that he had a choice) and so on and so on. But we all understand and still stand behind the kids from OUR STATE. Just please let us know how long it takes Houston to skip town after a third Egg Bowl loss in a row come this November.
