Let the best team hoist the trophy at the end. I'm glad our team is focused on what they control and aren't focused on Wisconsin, Gonzaga or Villanova. We have the best team and they will prove it regardless of who stands in their way.

Agreed. I'm actually hoping UK gets IU and UL and Wisky and Duke just so we can beat their asses again.

I don't care.

Screwball committee will try to really load our bracket, but the fact is that we won't have the privilege of beating them all. Most of them will beat each other out as we advance.

So go ahead committee and stick Wisconsin in our bracket if you want, and put Gonzaga in Duke's bracket. Careful though, Gonzaga could beat Duke if they make it past the Coastal Carolinas and the Bucknells in their bracket.

Funny thing is that this year is really doesn't matter. I think our guys will bring a focus that we haven't even seen yet.

Douche bag committee says one thing then turns around and does the other. Talks about geography as a reason to stick Wisconsin in our bracket, while really doing both teams an injustice, then puts Gonzaga in Duke's bracket. It's kind of funny really.

I'm gonna laugh all the way to the championship.

I agree 100%. We will have to play good teams regardless the path but with this teM I am not worried. Stopped worrying down 9 at Georgia when therewaz a timeout and the Harrison brothers looked at everyone in that huddle and said we can do this! They have grown so much, I do not worry-bring on all comers. WE GOT THIS!

So if we get WISCONSIN due to location and then Duke gets Gonzaga, will the idiots who wouldn't believe theres uk bias if it slapped their wives in the mouth finally let it go and just admit it?

Or is it just too cool pretending to be "that guy" and probably still won't buy in?

Yeah I could care less.

Its not as much Kentucky getting screwed as whoever is put in our region getting screwed.

We beat Wisconsin last year and will do it again if we have to.

Yep, we beat them last yr with a 10 loss team. I think we can handle them this yr with an undefeated team!

Think about this for a second

We beat them without WCS, Towns, Lyles, Ulis, and Booker. We lost Randle and Young. I hate that Poythress won't be there making spectacular plays, but I still like our chances A LOT.

Yabba is right abut that. We beat them WITHOUT the platoons.

On second thought this should be fun.

I care. Is it really fair for a team that hasn't achieved as much as Kentucky during the regular season get a much easier path to a possible Championship?

All the speculation here about who will or wont be in our bracket, is funny to me.. It wont matter who they put in our bracket, even if our bracket looked like this .. 1)Kentucky 2)Virginia 3)Wisconsin 4)Duke 5)Villanova 6)Arizona 7)Gonzaga 8)Kansas .. We'd still advance

Like the OP said who cares who is on our bracket?? I know I don't.

I'm more worried taking a mid-major lightly and those guys shooting lights out than I am someone with a name across their chest.

I think Duke would have their hands full with Gonzaga - neither team plays much defense, but the Zags may actually be a better offensive team than Duke.

If we can't beat Wisconsin, we don't deserve No. 9 anyway. Bring 'em on. Cats would be up for Wisconsin - I'm actually more worried about the Cats letting a dangerous unheralded team slip up on them.

Agreed OP. Who cares. Not worth the handwringing over something we can't control. Play the games as they come, and win 6 of them.

Too cool to buy into the bias crap. If our team acted like some on this board we'd crucify them for being scared to play. No team in America has what we have in terms of talent and experience. Our kids ago against the best of the best every single day in practice. How do you prepare for the size and athleticism of this team? Not saying we can't lose, but there's not a team out there that I'm concerned about playing. Line em up and add to the history books.

with the committee focusing on geography for tournament seeding, UK will always have a tougher bracket.

Reason being , the west has a few good teams but they so spaced out that the bracket will always be weak. The great amount of good/great teams will be in the other 3 brackets.

Who gives crap who's in our bracket? Wisconsin, Gonzaga, Duke, Virginia, Kansas, etc. They all want to save us for the last game. They do not fear us but they want to win a few games before going home.

I personally hope we play these teams in order.
Kansas
Gonzaga
Villanova
Arizona
Wisconsin
Duke

It really doesn't matter who we play, they all are going to lose.

Cal said the Lakers will be in there!

The brackets actually will be tough this year, because after UK there is a lot of parity. Just picking the FF will be an accomplishment, even when you already know one of them.

Right now, it looks more and more like a Kentucky-Duke final game. Can you even begin to imagine the hype??!!

I care. There are some teams that could get hot from the 3 and give us early and late trouble.

Been said a lot, but it takes some luck to win it all.

Regardless of what may be fair and regardless of how other teams are treated, the idiot committee members will do everything they can to make UK's road to the championship as difficult as possible. This year, however, the idiots are going to find that instead of making it difficult for UK they are just making it impossible for the other teams. I still remember how everyone moaned over the fact that Witchita St. Had to play UK early in the tournament. Did my heart good to see them go down the way they did. I expect more of the same this year.

I can't even stomach the thought of losing to Duke in a final again. Think I might give up college basketball for a few years after that.

Ummmmm not sure what you are talking about....we have been the tournament runner up 4 times: 66' to Texas Western, 75' to UCLA, 97' to Arizona, and 2014 to Connecticut.....we have NOT lost to Duke in an NCAA final. We have in fact beaten them for a title in '78

I was waiting for someone to make this horrible comparison.

Wall and Bledsoe were freshmen and Cal didn't know how to handle a junk defense, and our shooting went ice cold - all in the same game.

We have mature guards and a superstar junior who, if he had played in last year's final game, would have led us to #9.

And Cal is ahead of any other coach in x's and o's.

Nice try though, your concern is noted.

people that want fair seeding.

i don't think the uk basketball team will care.

one team scaring anyone, this year, is pretty dumb. we're that good. being scared of seeding is a seperate gripe altogether. recent trend has been a stacked uk region. this is regular sports talk, not limited to this board. we will play a contender starting in the regional final, and then it depends on who got through to indy. this is typical, but seeding and location matters to people who watch and travel. i won't even say to the team, but you count on one thing. the ncaa will have a story book potential 32 and 16 game set up. so you can be like most of us here and say it won't matter, but that doesn't make people who question NCAA motives to give us the hardest number one in either location or opponents or both. since we're in yum and we travel well everywhere will it matter in the early rounds or even later rounds? no, probably not. however it does not make people who are concerned about the fairness in these things pussies for talking about or questioning them.

the wisconsin stuff gets old. we know we're better. but you have kentucky and the next level. wisconsin, arizona, duke are those teams. they were at the beginning of the year and venture to think at least a couple of them will get favorable roads on paper. this is the gripe. i say whatever. i prefer talking about all the other teams more. it's more fun.

The 2002-2003 Wildcats say Hi.

Another injury and a really hot team can spell doom even when you have the best team.
Let us have the easiest route as we DESERVE to get and as how the tourney was originally designed!
Right now we are being set up to fail.

It's not about who UK has to play,These guys can beat everyone in the Tourney, but it's all about being at Home in Kentucky's Home region ,which is the South,it has nothing to dowith how close to Lexington it is and everything to do with being in a Kentucky friendly atmosphere.
We all saw what happened in 2003 being stuck in an Anti-UK Minneapolis to play Wisconsin and Marquette where the crowd influenced the officiating and energy of our enemies.
In 2010 with a great UK team again being forced to play a Big East team in a Big East Stadium filled with Anti-UK Haters again and losing again.

Cleveland is a craphole of a town filled with Anti-UK Haters,Kentucky belongs in Houston with a UK -Friendly crowd in their natural home region ,The South. The Sixth Man matters, just look at history or do the same stupid things expecting different results, something people love to do.
