This thread leads to the question, who is Arkansas' rival?

I'm not sure they have a real rival. Long ago, maybe it was Texas. Today, they play for this trophy

No, wait, darn you google....here's the trophy:

The LSU-Arkansas "rivalry" seems about on par with the Mississippi-LSU "rivalry". And by "about on par", I'm mean that Arkansas care less about their LSU rivalry than Mississippi does with their's.

Anyway, new coaches that aren't up on the intensity of their rival game usually have their *** handed to them. Last year was an exception due to Mississippi State's own issues. So this year is his first introduction.

Mullen on the other hand knows rivalries from working at Florida.

First of all, damn is that chick fine. Any chick that confident in her body to do that would be a wildcat in the sack. She ain't the marrying kind though youngsters.

Arkansas' rival......they think it is Texas with LSU being 2nd. In both cases, the Pigs had to line up and take a number. Obviously Oklahoma and A&M are before Arkansas on Texas' important games list. LSU....I have no idea. Who do the Tigers consider to be their rival? I would think OM, Tulane, Auburn (they have had some good games over the years) and Bama (Nick Saban) come before Arkansas.

Whatever the case....."The Boot" was the idea of a former Arkansas player. So, take that for what it is worth. However, the Arkansas/LSU series has been a back and forth series. Also, I know in South Arkansas you have some LSU fans. So, you have that dynamic down there. It certainly has the ingredients of being a rivalry. However, I think it is probably one sided at this point. If it was a rivalry to the LSU fans......I doubt half of them leave during the middle of the game. Which, by the way, what was that about?

I was listening to the Arkansas pre-game show before their game vs LSU. They were talking about how all the games in the series have been early games because of TV and this would be the first year in a number of years for a night game. The Arkansas radio guys were basically saying they wanted to see if a night game at Baton Rogue was all it is made out to be. Obviously, the Arkansas contingent came away unimpressed since half the fans left during the middle of the game.
