Most famous has to be Muhammad Ali or Harland Sanders. I met Colonel Sanders at the Lexington 4th of July fireworks prob around 1976, Commonwealth Stadium.

Ali was early 1990s Marriott Hotel, downtown Atlanta. He was in one of the hotel shops and did a couple of magic tricks for a handful of people who gathered.

I have never really had an opportunity to meet a lot of famous people. Outside of UK basketball/football players the most famous people I have ever met were Dale Earnhardt Jr and Shaun T (The guy that created the Insanity workout videos). I did pass by Darryl Strawberry on a NYC street once. 🤣

Adolph Rupp. He approached me for directions to Coach Carlisle’s office at Lafayette when he was recruiting Billy Ray Lickert. I have also met Coach Hall and Tubby Smith when they were at UK.
You probably know my grandmother and her brother. They grew up with Billy Ray, then after college he was my grandmother's neighbor until he passed away. Hell of a great guy!

I shook Bill Cosby's hand at the Penn Relays in the early 90s. I passed Brad Pitt near Central Park and he nodded at me. I think my mouth was open ha.

I have been reading through this and the consensus seems to be that William Shatner is not a nice guy. Still, he was great as Kirk. I had a friend who saw Jack Klugman and Chuck berry at a bar. He said that Klugman was nice and Berry was not. (I think it was different nights)

Interesting thread. I was walking out of a Fivestar in Hillview a few years ago when I hear someone ask me how to get to Hooters. I turn around and it was Derrick Ramsey. I said,"Hey you're Derrick Ramsey". Told him he was one of Dad's favorite UK players. He seemed appreciative of that. Told him how to get there and shook his hand and he thanked me. Seemed like a good dude.
