Nah, if you had seen Fremd before you'd know last night wasn't a surprise.
I'd say St Francis over Prairie Ridge
There goes my 1A bracket!Camp Point Central losing today is pretty huge in 1A
This was an upset but not a huge shocker. In 1A, Dwight beating Clifton was a big one and CPC losing was a massive upset.Tri Valley over Rockridge 2A
I guess, I think most thought SF/PR was a toss up.Nah, if you had seen Fremd before you'd know last night wasn't a surprise.

Due to spending a decent amount of time down in B-Town, I suspect they are speaking about some "other" reasons. Full stop.St Laurence over Bradley surprised me. STL was 0-3 in the CCL White, which speaks to the strength of that division.
Camp Point Central outgained Brown County 232 yards to 180 yards but committed four turnovers (three fumbles, one interception) to Brown County's zero turnovers. That is a formula for an upset.Camp Point Central losing today is pretty huge in 1A
I said it a few weeks ago in another thread, but the CCL White was far and away the second strongest division top to bottom in the CCL this year behind the CCL Blue. I’ll be the first to admit that StL is an “above average” CCL team, but Montini, Carmel, and Fenwick are all elite. I was very suprised to see CC lose this week and thought that the 7A champ would be decided next week when they faced off with BR.St Laurence over Bradley surprised me. John Doe, could you explain this to me as if I don’t have any idea what you’re talking about.Due to spending a decent amount of time down in B-Town, I suspect they are speaking about some "other" reasons. Full stop.
That’s saying something since the green has all 4 in quarters (3A/5A/6A/7A).I said it a few weeks ago in another thread, but the CCL White was far and away the second strongest division top to bottom in the CCL this year behind the CCL Blue. BB was a good and well coached team and they play in a big boy conference. They had a ton of offensive weapons and an elite young RB. Fridays game was back and forth and came down to them making a few more mistakes than the Vikings and getting outmuscled late.
Congrats to Coach Swanson! Class act at MC. I admit when I saw BB on their first offensive series and their overall speed I thought STL was cooked but they adjusted better and made fewer mistakes. Also BB defense was not on the same level as their offense. STL beat them down slowly and then pretty much handed them their playbook and said "We are going to snap the ball to Les, try to stop him" and they couldn't. Good luck to the Vikings moving forward. I don't know where/when Naz or the Flyers loom in your bracket but until you meet them I think they have a real good shot to keep advancing.I said it a few weeks ago in another thread, but the CCL White was far and away the second strongest division top to bottom in the CCL this year behind the CCL Blue. If they win this week, they’ll have a date with ESL in Burbank barring a Simeon upset…. One game at a time though.Congrats to Coach Swanson! Class act at MC. Montini, Carmel, Fenwick > St. Rita, IC, St. FrancisThat’s saying something since the green has all 4 in quarters (3A/5A/6A/7A).
BBCHS is poorly coached. They have the talent but fizzle out early each yearSt Laurence over Bradley surprised me. STL was 0-3 in the CCL White, which speaks to the strength of that division.
Yes, that is your opinion.Montini, Carmel, Fenwick > St. Rita, IC, St. Francis
Montini, Carmel, Fenwick = Naz
This is 2025 season only obviously, not historical.
Just my opinion.
You know ... this time of year the whole private/public in the same playoff controversy becomes more magnified and amplified. Particularly in this case, when a "wolf in sheep's clothing" (5-4 regular season St. L. from a CCL division) takes out an 8-1 Bradley with relatively early elimination.John Doe, could you explain this to me as if I don’t have any idea what you’re talking about.![]()
I can't even tell you the name of the conference you're about to brag about... that's how little myself (and anyone for that matter) cares about 1A football. So sure, come at me... this ought to be fabulous!Where is Roamin Catholic when ya need him.
Whilst we blindly ignore, per the usual, any instance of pub on pub crime related to the same argument... What's that over there?!?!You know ... this time of year the whole private/public in the same playoff controversy becomes more magnified and amplified. Well your 1A favorites went downI can't even tell you the name of the conference you're about to brag about... that's how little myself (and anyone for that matter) cares about 1A football. So sure, come at me... this ought to be fabulous!
Such is life, my dude. Glad you got that off your chest. Feeling better now?Well your 1A favorites went down
Not so fast.... Dunlap is toughNeither St Laurence or BB could stop the run. BB continued to throw the ball and made mistakes, their running back was getting 10-15 yards a carry. STL ran with C. Les who is a one man wrecking crew and fun to watch. STL should continue to roll next week.
I agree Dunlap is very tough. For some reason I thought the game was @ STL. Dunlap should have hosted the first two rounds and STL only hosted second round. Obviously I was wrong lol. I’m curious who came up with the IHSA hosting rules. Not so fast.... Dunlap is tough
I think rounds one and two were both winnable for Lockport. They were without their best player for the first clash with HF. Let's see if they shock us this week.LOCKPORT
Breese would the real shocker imo. The Mini-Packers (Geneseo) have a storied history of success... I believe Breese could count on one hand their trips to the semi's in football. Maybe 3rd or 4th time they've done so? That and they'd literally have to take down the one team that's a lock at state most years in 4A... Plus we all know when Rochester people start saying things like "They're stout, fast and crafty. They won't be an easy out!" that they think the Rockets are about to have their freshman in at halftime. If I'm taking a shocker in classes 4A-8A this week (not based on seeding, but what majority of people seem to be thinking):
4A: Geneseo
