Easy for you to sit back and call someone an "idiot", isn't it, Predestined?
What is an idiot? 1 easy definition would probably be someone who shoots his mouth off with no knowledge of the topic he comments on. That being said, who's the true idiot? Take it from someone who's spent some time behind the scenes of a tv station and in a sports department... sometimes the video people at home want to see just isn't available. If a game isn't televised, and a station can't send someone to the game to get the video themselves, what do you do?? I can tell you this... "calling ESPN to get the footage" isn't an option. It just doesn't work that way.
I don't know everything about being a sportscaster, but I do know that much for a fact.
Take it easy on Scott LaPeer. I happened to like him a lot and thought he was the best sportscaster we had in Jackson. He won the AP Award for best sports story in the state and the "tell all" report he did on Lebron James' joke of a visit to Jackson was something a lot of people will never forget. It's a shame he's no longer here, and I will miss seeing him.
