Who lives in Morgantown? What's it like these days?

I could probably move back there if I wanted and I've thought about it. I'd likely be working somewhere in all those building near the football stadium (hospital, NIOSH, etc). The last time I was in that area, maybe 10 years ago, it looked somewhat like a mess in terms of traffic and all. I lived on the other side of 705 for awhile as a student and what people would do is take their lives in their hands and cross 705 on foot to get to the hospital buildings, PRT, etc. Is it still like that?

I looked at realty on the computer and found this condo complex named Suncrest Village off of Maple Drive (which is the other side of 705 from Willowdale Rd) and I'm thinking "Hmm, lots of fairly new condos, probably in decent shape, a half mile from work, I could walk that easy." Then I realized that crossing 705 on foot during rush hour would probably be impossible. It just seems like a crappy set up to have a busy road right in the middle.

And with further inquiry I discovered Suncrest Town Center, which seems to be a giant strip mall a half mile or less from all the hospital buildings, football stadium, etc Is that true? Again, that seems like dumb planning in the extreme.

Or am I way off base with all this? I'd be interested in thoughts in general about what life is like in Motown these days. It's been a long time since I lived there.

I don't live there, but traffic is far, far worse than you remember. I store my trailer out Stewartstown Rd near Cheat Lake during football season and there is no good time to come to town on a Friday and then move it to the coliseum.

Suncrest Town Center is pretty cool, imo.

Traffic is not too bad unless there is weather or a game. Now a little snow and it can be bad. Plenty of homes and Condos in that area if you want to be close to work.
