If you've got a better example of an MSU team tanking a season, put in the subject of the reply.

Even if we did hit every low possible in football this past decade. What we have accomplished today in baseball is nearly devastating to our program.

That's a pretty bad stretch run there. At least the baseball team is scoring even if they can get anyone out.

This weekend: Not very good? Check. Choked in the clutch? Check. Mailed it in? Not so much. They scrapped and fought against a much better hitting club. There are no .200 hitters in AU's lineup. We had 3 today, and were still in the game in the 4th quarter, er, 9th inning. Then we reverted to form.

The 2003 football team wasn't very good to begin with, and then quit, completely and totally.

After having witnessed only two winning seasons since 2000 along with every other State fan in football, I have a hard time though picking in its favor as truly tanking a season. We have only had two losing seasons in baseball since 2000 including this season. I understand we still compete but come on our football program has been known for as a losing team. We may have competed this weekend but we pretty much have given in this season. 11 straight losses is bigger in magnitude than any amount of losses we suffered in football this past decade in my opinion mainly because of the reputations of each program.

That stretch in football was the closest thing to a lock in sports betting that there ever has been. We were so terrible that you could bet against us every week and we would end up losing by two or three touchdowns more than the spread. I dont normally bet against the dogs but that yearI had no problems with it because it was apparent that they didn't give a ****.

But after a good night of sleep I have come to regret my vote. I began to recall watching and going to those 2003 football games. During that final stretch, you never once had the feeling we would or even could win a game. I had a feeling after the Bama game that year that I had just gone to an Alabama football practice. The only thing that made the Egg Bowl good is that I got rip-roaring drunk with friends before it.

However, my vote may not have been totally unjustified. The 2003 team never bothered even starting the games. I get the feeling from our baseball team that they don't want to finish them. Had you given our 2003 team a few points (say, 40) and start the game at halftime they may have won a few more. The baseball team lost a game with a 9-0 lead. Let that sink in for a moment.

Let that **** sink in.

But you're right, the correct vote is 03 football.
