Now I REALLY hope Essex go to King George to play. They have turf there. It will be good for both Haysi and Essex since Altavista and Honaker are playing on turf.

We have 3 of 4 of last years state semi teams back in it...Altavista, Essex and Haysi. Honaker takes the place of last years semi finalist Fort Chiswell.

One play does not decide a game man. It's called CLASS. You win with it and you lose with it. Maybe stop on your way home and buy some!

Agreed bravesfan. But then again we are coalfield teams and buy refs according to most. Probably pick ones whose favorite animals are tigers too.

How about 5-6 plays ?? I am not talking just one play but several throughout the game targeting , holding , interference. Anything to help the home team imho. I expect a higher level of referees when you get to this level of competition too. Did not get that and far from it. Maybe I will become a ref and go call a game or two in those coalfields only ill be a lot better than those in the game today. Class has nothing to do with bad officiating.

Yes losing sucks. I for one can't stand defeat. But sometimes you have to tip your cap and say yours was better than ours today. There was still plays in the game where galax could have stopped haysi! Like the remainder of the game winning drive? The 2 point conversion? These refs are not professionals! There is no replay! They are doing the best they can and you have to take what you get. When you play at haysi you better go ahead and spot colley 7 or more points because he is just that good! Everyone go to the 2a board and take notes from the Giles fans thread what losing with class looks like!

I guarantee that the same 2 teams will be playing each other again. Speed kills and the 2 teams from up north will have plenty of it. Turf or not.

Altivista will beat Honaker by 21 points. Everyone has talked a lot about strength of schedule. Honaker hasn't really played the competition that Vista has.

Essex will beat Haysi by 14 points. Haysi has played 2 good teams, 1 beat them and the other should have beat them.

Alaivista will beat Essex by a score of 21-0 in the State Championship game.

Congrats to all teams still playing. Anything can happen, just ask Giles County. So just come ready to play and who knows, maybe we will see an all West title game.
