After being asked at the end of the 2nd quarter against Nebraska "what do you tell these guys at halftime now," this Big 8 coach said "keep on playing and try to win three to nothing." This coaches team fan base was not too happy with the comment after the game ended and sent more than a few letters to the sports editor voicing their displeasure.

This game happened in the 1980's at Lincoln. More hints to come, if needed.

JJ Flanagan had a sure touchdown in that CU game and inexplicably fumbled with no one within 15 yards of him. Strange game.

Pat Jones is the coach. I remember seeing letters to the sports editor in Stillwater about that comment and how Okie State lost the game. Man, were they angry.
