Who said the Beav couldn’t be used for events besides football??

And yet:

The proposed renovations - which are being sold, at least partially, as being a step to allow for more "usages" - does nothing to address any of those supposed issues (which, IMO, were never "issues" anyway - but regardless, the initial point makes it moot).
Kinda' makes one wonder, no?
How do you know that Barry? Have you seen the plans were the west stands will meet the north stands were that field level portal can be increased in height?

The stadium lack the appropriate infrastructure to host a large concert. The two portals to the field level, the south end zone tunnel and the visitor's tunnel, do not provide the appropriate size to allow for the movement of modern rigging, staging equipment, other equipment now required for large concert events.
Have to assume they are planning on modifying the visitor field entrance in the Northwest Corner to handle bringing in 18 wheelers. Seems like the only possibility during the west side rebuild.

Field is too small. World Cup sniffed but can’t fit a soccer field in the Beav.
Maybe that can be considered in the facelift?

Edit: Looks like they need another 11 yards on each sideline to fit. That can be considered in the new plans.

Obvious solution for soccer at Beaver Stadium:

The stadium is a bowl, more or less. Based on the angle at which the seats descend, the field, at ground level, is too small for soccer. Just elevate the field. Raise the field to a higher point in the bowl at which it’s big enough for soccer. Let the engineers figure out the rest.

Duh.

Uh, uh. Whether teams (unlikely) or leagues, PSU is grossly over matched when it comes to negotiating. This is major orders of magnitude more than screwing people who look like us.
Maybe we should get the folks who negotiated the Sandusky penalties with the NCAA to give us some strategies.

Better yet, the guys who negotiated with PSU on behalf of the alleged victims.i They'll only take 40%.
