'We have a respect for the press when it comes to the government. That is something you can't ban an entity from, Conservative, Liberal or otherwise. I think that's what makes a democracy a democracy versus a dictatorship."
Sounds like Churchill or Reagan.
Media has an onligation to hold up their end of this equation. By choosing to be biased they disqualify themselves from the obligations of a free press.'We have a respect for the press when it comes to the government. That is something you can't ban an entity from, Conservative, Liberal or otherwise. I think that's what makes a democracy a democracy versus a dictatorship."
The call-outs seem to be working in Trumps favor so far.
That doesn't change how his strategy is working in his favor. I don't expect your opinion to align with sane people, Destroyer.[laughing]
Just today they quoted Trump from yesterday commenting that it should be required to reveal the names of sources and they showed five tweets by little hands where he cited unnamed sources.
That doesn't change how his strategy is working in his favor.

What does that even mean? Are you comparing an approval rating to the topic at hand ? That's twice you've tried to apply totally separte notions to the topic of this thread.40% = working masterfully.
If you are honest...how sure are you that it is actually a strategy? 100%? 50%? The man is unpredictable. He is emotional. He is vane. He says things before thinking. Has a history of irrational, reactionary action that he later regrets. He takes criticism horribly. I'm not saying that it's not a strategy for certain, but I'm at about 60% that this is more knee jerk bs from a thin skinned jerk. He's mad he can't control leaks, and is throwing a tantrum. That doesn't change how his strategy is working in his favor. I don't expect your opinion to align with sane people, Destroyer.

So press is only free if completely unbiased or only if they agree with the sitting administration?Media has an onligation to hold up their end of this equation. By choosing to be biased they disqualify themselves from the obligations of a free press.
They have an obligation to be unbiased and they have shirked that responsibility. They dont even hide it.So press is only free if completely unbiased or only if they agree with the sitting administration?
Can you point that out to me in the Constitution? I don't seem to recall that one. They have an obligation to be unbiased and they have shirked that responsibility. They dont even hide it.
Can you point out in the constitution where the press is granted anything different than you or me?Can you point that out to me in the Constitution? I don't seem to recall that one.

Then tell that to FOX News. They need a little "unbiased" reporting of liberal issues. They have an obligation to be unbiased and they have shirked that responsibility. They dont even hide it.
Really? Care to provide some examples? But you never seem to cry foul when the outlets biased to your view report BS.
He's also pretty effectively almost singlehandedly destroying what little credibility the Main News Media has left.
Seems to me he has a pretty thick skin and a rough-n-tumble persona that can dish it out as well as he takes it.
Sorry for the late reply. I think USING the media was total strategy with adjustments made on the fly according to what spilled out of Trumps mouth. I won't venture a guess on percentages. During the campaign, Trump said something that began with "They're not sending their best......" The media and Clinton campaign would tweek and run with it to paint a racist/bigot picture. This was a DNC strategy as revealed by the DNC and Podesta hacks; division politics that will be recorded as such in history. "Deplorables" was definitely one for the history books. "Basket of" suggests a little bit of forethought. How much forethought is hard to say; 5 seconds, 5 minutes? Given some more time, I doubt those words would have slipped out, but in a broader sense I think there was definitely a strategy to portray Trump a certain way. Trump has personally done more to empower minorities and women than the liberals who like to stand up and tell people what they aren't getting, but deserve. These types are the first ones to clutch their pocket books when they encounter someone different in a less than ideal situation. So then you're sure it's a strategy?
"Agree" doesn't have much to do with it, IMO. There's a reason why Marvel Comics, The National Midnight Star and Dan Rather don't have seats; lack of credibility. So press is only free if completely unbiased or only if they agree with the sitting administration?
Gallup, "Since 2007 most of the general public has little or no faith in the mainstream media." "Trust typically dips in election years."Recent polls show 55% of the public trust the mainstream media

Someone who has not been in my kitchen, sometime in the past.
Recent polls show 55% of the public trust the mainstream media while 39 % trust Trump. Repeated lies will erode your credibility. Trump has told some sort of lie practically every single day of his presidency.
That's hilarious! You are seriously out of touch with reality. Here are just a few that have got under his thin skin.

Good thing he didn't do that.It was Sean Spicer, the Press Secretary for the Trump Administration. He said it on 16 Dec 2016.
You don't deny that he said that, right?Good thing he didn't do that.
